Im a huge geek why am I not excited?

I am like the biggest geek ever.

I went to 4 E3s interned for EA, and wasted alot of my lifeon video games. but something just happened the Wii and the PS3 were released, and I am not excited. the PS3 has no good games and is too expensive and the Wii just doesnt interest me.

and on PC games Half Life 2 and F.E.A.R are the last two games that really got me excited.

I dont think its me I think its video game makers. their making stale games, very little original things are coming out.

Unreal tournament 2007 is the next PC game im really looking forward too.

anybody feel the same?

but i agree entirely. i couldnt give 2 shits about ps3 or wii. games suck therefore im not interested. BUT THEY HAVE BETTER GRAPHICS AND YOU SHOULD PAY $500 MORE JUST FOR THAT!!!!!!yea fuck the graphics the games boring
 
how the hell can u not be excited for zelda, i own it and it is amazing!!!! better than OoT and one of the best games ever!
 
I played Tony hawk, THPS-THAW for like 3 years everyday all day when i wasnt at school. I dont know why i just liked it so much, i played online and competitive and stuff. then like a year ago i just stopped playing, probably got bored.
 
most of us believe we are not nerds what was considered ner when we were younger just isn't anymore nerds are at a whole other level these days

i only consider someone a nerd if they have no life outside of games/school
 
i dnt rly play games at all, but i still wana try the wii, but its not tht origanal, ive seen stuff like it in the mall but its a just a lot simpler and they only hav stuff like tennis
 
2007 is gonna be sick, all i play anymore is ut 2004 and WoW. and i stopped WoW because it was destroying my social life.
 
how about you tell EA to stop fucking releasing their video games to the public full of fucking glitches and then gradually updating the game so maybe someday it will reach a level of where it should be released at if they weren't money grubbing fuck heads.
 
its true, the halo games were not that great as whole from a geek gamer's perspective, but they did have two things that most new games don't.

A: SUPER FUN EVERYTHING....mutiplayer, single player, co-op...everything was just fun on that game

B: They have one hell of a story, you just want to know what happens. They have books, comic books, the games.....if fans want to know stuff, they just have to look, and there it is.

i think you are outgrowing your geekiness. spore is going to be crazy and ive only heard good things about the wii, nintendo has tried to set themselves apart from sony and microsoft. pc gaming has never been better. if this isnt progression then i dont know what to tell you. more and more people are playing videogames. the videogame industry is bringing in higher and higher sales. so many people are excited about videogames that they now have to line up outside for days just like they do for movies. all the money that could be made by a successful videogame or console is fueling the competition and progression.
 
those are all release games. Think back to when ps2 was released. remember smugglers run? game system was great but the graphics were shit. Graphics for games get better as the system matures.
 
I was never really into gaming and I feel that at the age I am at now it's appropriate that I am out of the "gaming" stage in life. I'm 17 and a half... I feel my life should be spent with friends, skiing, or Newschoolers.com!
 
yo so i jus bought an N64 and still have my original nintendo hooked up. i used to have a PS2 but it go borin for me. N64 with Mario, mario kart, goldeneye, and super smash bros is where its at son.
 
I wouldn't go that far, both Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask surpassed Twilight Princess in my opinion.

I've heard stuff about Spore coming out for the Wii and computer, which might excite you like it has so many other people.
 
halo 3 is going to enshroud everthing video games for at least a year. but i'm not too worried about it sucking. usually games that they delay for a long ass time are amazing. just look at pretty much every blizzard game ever made.
 
Shit it could be a bunch of stick figures running around with pistols and it'd still be #1 because it's name is HALO!
 
FEAR was pretty sick... I'm looking forward to Halo 3 although I fear that it will be a disappointment... I certainly hope not though.
 
I kinda outgrew games too. Now I just have a DS, I still have my ps2 but i hardly ever look at it. I'll prolly buy god of war 2 tho. Even though I didn't bother beatign the first one. I got sick of Kratos, the final boss, it was lame.
 
dude I played a Wii for the first time a couple days ago, and its sick! I only like the Wario Ware game though, everything else I've played sucks. I heard Zelda is sick though.
