Illinois advice??

I've only been to Chestnut in Galena and Snow Star in Andalusia... Where can my fellow mid-west snowbunnies advise me to go? Snow Star isn't challenging at all but the park is always a good time and it's the closest place. I just don't want to drive 5+ hours to a mediocre resort in MN, IO, WI etc...

Tyrol in WI and Granite in WI are both well worth the drive. The only places I would avoid are sundown and Seven oaks in IA

Chicago resident here. Moved into the city a year and a half ago after I graduated (went to school in CA, originally from MN) and have yet to get a good skiing routine going.

Anyone else locate in the Chicagoland area? I'd be interested in carpooling this winter/perhaps finding some urban!

Damn Eric..small world, we've talked on instagram about Granite Peak. I would drive 15 hours to go there. I'm lucky I only have to go about 20 Minutes.

Midwestshred haha! I'm definitely making the haul to Granite Peak this winter. I think it's about 6 hours so not terribly bad if I get a crew to make a weekend trip. Looks amazing lol
