Illegal to witness a crim and not report it?

This.

Cops don't hate kids. They aren't dicks for no reason. They definitely don't remember who you are unless you've given them a reason. I can almost guarantee there is more you aren't telling us, either about this situation or about your previous involvement. If not, stop associating with people who are involved with the police and they will stop bugging you.

Well cops do make accusations without proof and keep trying to make their accusation come true plus I've noticed when you try to defend your rights they just become bigger assholes.

I'd contact a lawyer. You actually may get money in a counter suit or possibly a settlement. Lawyer like to make money, if the lawyer can get what I said above he can get even more money.

Can you give us an actual explanation of what happened, when, and whats going on now?

all youve said is someone is trying to charge you and someone who assaulted someone threw a burning piece paper in the library... give us the full story.

That really depends on the lawyer and is not really true. If you want to sit down with a lawyer it's Usually going cost you.

I was joking and I'm about 95% sure it's not a law that you have to report crime. Unless someone comes up to you and tells you they're going to do something before they walk out the door then maybe you could be charged with something. But I'm not even going to waste my time researching it.

librarians are the biggest bitches, classic move. I dont know the laws but I dont think you should be forced to call 911, just say you didn't have a phone on you and you thought you saw someone else calling them. if they are just getting you in trouble with the school then tell them to fuck off but if they are taking it to court the idno.

I'm imagining you being a huge asshole and saying things like "im an american and i have rights" or "i didnt know this was communist china" to the cops.... sorry for that digression but what state do you live in? check local laws about not reporting crimes. Even if you do legally have to report crimes then a lot of the times you dont have to report misdemeanors (which it sounds like this is). You really should not be posting anything about this or talking to anyone. Anything you say is admissible in court (and your friends can be forced to testify or they could be charges with a crime) and lieing in court is a bad idea and can carry harsher penalties than the crime itself. Sounds like you should be fine. If it really is just like you said the court systems/ DA will most likely not even prosecute the case and if he does get yourself a lawyer and they will know how to best defend you.

this. seriously OP? Just tell them you didn't see it at all, if they argue that you did just stick to your story that you never saw it. Deny deny deny
