anyone see this movie? i saw it today so good. so many pretzels, and the editing is so good. you should pick it up if your lookin for a real pa film, none of that rr shit
 
Yeah..... realllll sick.. Psych. Every song was blatantly stolen from another movie. And not like some Am. movie that most people haven't seen, but shit like Tanner's song from 1242, and shit like that. Shitty filming, shitty music, and shitty riders makes for a a generally shitty movie. They don't have anything on Quick! At least Quick! had a fun vibe. This movie wasn't even edited at all. just clips.

Better luck next year.

I saw the teaser and the editing in it was horrable.Quicks two teasers were so much better.I can already tell the editing and filming will be horrable.Quicks editing and filming was pretty bad to.Might wanna invest in a tripod.
 
honestly now you have to give them some credit...they're a bunch of highschool kids who don't have any training in editing and filming. Unlike Quick! who had pros make their movie. If you guys think its so bad why don't you go make a movie and try and show them up. Its not as easy as it looks. Maybe if you guys actually watched it and apprectiated the time they put into it you would understand. Plus half of you are from Roundtop so its understandable that you want to defend your movie but if you want to get apprectiation for yours give apprectiation for others.
 
mtbaker you shouldnt even be talking because you know what the sad thing is, is they are on the twin tip nation team with you and twin tip requested 50 of their movies to premier it in new mexico...i mean come on seriously...
 
umm the only two kids who were involved with quick that werent in high school at the time were jason and barney... who are both in college. i would hardly call quick a professional production, but it was a fun movie. i havent seen illegal project yet, even though i ride at blue and sometimes ski with those kids. there are a lot of things that make a difference though. firstly, the cameras being used made a huge difference. second, quick was filmed at a lot of places outside of the shit we have to ski in pa, which also makes the shots more interesting. trust me i know, the scenery at blue mtn is not the greatest.

No, the editing was shit. It felt like i turned on a mix of the soundtracks of other ski movies and put the video on mute. It was just clip after clip, no editing involved.
 
Exactly, that IS the sad thing... because twin tip nation actually thought that people would enjoy watching that shit in New Mexico. You know what else is sad about it? Now everyone who saw that in New Mexico thinks that's what newschool skiing is.
 
Pros making their movies? Anyone can educate themselves to learn final cut or AE to the extent of their skillss by looking around the internet.
 
ok my name is not an "alias" its my birthday and no im not the one who made the movie but honestly think about it i kno my parents wouldnt go out and buy me a camara and a tri pod for $1000 they had to work with wat they had...and just because they don't travel around like the kids in Quick! doesn't mean anything...many of them have school and work also just the fact of getting there isnt cheep..im sorry we arn't all made out of money...how bout this, this season I want all of you to break out ur camaras go film, get a bunch of songs that everyone in the movie likes, edited it, make the cds make the covers....its not as easy as it sounds it takes a lot of time, effort, and money to make a movie. Seeing as all of you can bash others why don't you go out and make one yourself!
 
Well first of all it's not that hard to watch a bunch of ski movies and poach a song from a different one...find the fucking songs yourself. Secondly its not that god damn hard to print out a dvd cover. Thirdly it doesn't cost nearly any money to make a piece of shit movie comparative to yours. If money is your main excuse then you kids really arent that dedicated to making a good movie... It doesn't cost any money to hit a urban rail; I didn't see any of those in your movie. Also nobody wants to see the cheesy ass pastel effects on your poorly shot footage; it's not "good" editing. And Lastly, nice job putting out a fuckin Z-rate version of the Wicked intro. It's bad enough that you couldn't come up with your own idea, but that fact that it was done so poorly is atrocious.

Welp hope you enjoyed my review, maybe this year you kids can put out something that doesn't make me want to kill myself.
 
ok now honestly what do I have to do to get through "your kids" heads that this isn't my movie! K? I'm just showing you the reality of it is. Plus its their first movie so give them a break they will make more and they will be better. Stop acting like Jr. High girls and appreciate they had the balls to even make a movie and try and get themselves known. I don't see the rest of yeah doing it.
 
Why are you constantly comparing this movie, and those riders to Quick? Everything you say is absolutely wrong. Yea we travel....but we also have jobs.And yes, it was OUR FIRST movie, so stop acting like we've made hundreds before.
 
except for a smart group of people would film a little bit, and then realize that their editing and riding sucks balls, and then they would say "fuck it". this is the point in which you would stop and not have to do any more work. but no, these guys actually thought the shit they made was good and continued on with it.
 
so i just wathced the trailor for illegal project. not that good but not as bad as u guys make it out to me. its pretty much like u guys just enjoy shitting on them because their movie wasnt as good as quick, which is an obvious poor comparison. im sure they went out there to make a movie that sucked and would piss you off, not. lke any skiers, there out there trying to progess their game and have fun, so why knock that? i mean yea im sure the movie sucked, but trashing it wont make it better, so leave it alone. just think about it for a second.
 
Only reason it was bashed on was because the kid who made it is a tool. And to quote him directly "Illegal project kicked the shit out of quick."

Yeah, and everyone was completely over it until this chick brought it back. I bet it's Dan's girlfriend.... you know the one from that extremely gay video that goes "I'm not a chap, i'm a lady" or something. I was actually embarassed while watching it. Shit's real haggard.

And there are kids who try every year to make movies and kill it. If you want us to get out, try to make a movie, and do better just wait until the end of the year.

And Dan bashed did quote "Illegal Project beats the hell out of Quick" And "Pretzel Man better watch out." or something along those lines.

 
And AJ did make a movie...... And it was fucking sick for his first movie. It's honestly not that hard. Just takes some effort, patience, and money. And AJ worked his ass up to buy a legit camera. I'll give the kids credit for trying to make a movie with sub par equipment, but it still wasn't that good of a movie.

You try to bash on the kids who made QUICK? they all worked to make the money to travel. They all went to school, and they all still are going to school.

Learn to spell, use proper grammar, and learn a fucking thing or two about what makes a mive good before you try to defend one.

And this was not made to knock a group of skiers for having fun, this was made to mock some cocky ass kids who think they are the shit, and talk shit, but in reality just claim the hell out of a lame movie.
 
I gotta say that it's true, other people have compared it to quick too. sorry for that, but it was infact, dan mcdoogal or mcdonalds or whoever that started the comparison.

dude, I'm not gonna deny that the movie's shit. alot of the stuff said was true, but alot of stuff is blown out of proportion or just plain wrong. The movie was a school project, that I took a little further. I wanted to actually make a 'movie'; cover, film liscences, actor release forms and all. Of course it turned out to be shit, cuz I had no idea what I was doing, but it was fun, and learned alot. I don't think we ever bashed Quick as some of you said we did. I once mentioned to 4bi9 that I liked our editing style better than Quicks, but that we didn't have the skiing talent that Quick had. We never said that Illegal Project 'kicked the shit' out of Quick.

As for the claiming, last year I did claim the shit out of it about how TTN bought all these copies and what not. I know better now. I did brag in jfbb's forum about how 'illegal project turned out sick and next years movie is gonna be even sicker'. Sorry to whoever we offended, never meant any harm by making this movie
