If you don't know we have found several liters of Sarin gas in Iraq. this chemical weapon is of course ilegal and something that Iraq said they did not have before the war. Sarin is a colorless and odorless gas and is lethal in doses as small as .5 milligrams. Experts say sarin is more than 500 times as toxic as cyanide.

If there is a little you know there is more.

 
I didn't hear that they had found canisters, I heard they just found traces of it being used at some crossroad or another.

sarin gas losses its effect over time. that gas was probably made in the mid 80's, after 15 years its almost useless. this is not a WMD not even close.

Ok, you guys know I don't like bush, but instead of automatically going into self-defense mode and saying 'He said there'd be more' or 'These particular chemical weapons aren't that bad', acknowledge that there were some chems.

That being said, it's bloody convenient that they find this stuff now. If the Republican party is smart, they'll 'find' some WMDs in another week or two, and noone will remember all that prisoner abuse stuff. Maybe that's a tad cynical...but still, nice coincidence for the Bush corporation.

yeah i think people take the whole thing of timing too far, by saying oh they found this stuff so people would forget about the prison incident, if the military finds it it probably will leak out in a week or two, so the bush administration cant delay the news of weapons being found that long

4 liters is not a lot but it shows that saddam did have some. He did not only by 4 liters for all of Iraq, obviously there is much more stored somewhere. No one plans to find this that is bullshit and you know that. I still cant believe that people feel worse for the iraqi prisoners than they do for the american whose head was cut off and than posted on the internate.

 
how much does 4 liters of the stuff weigh? cause if .5 milligrams is leathal and it weighs anything like water... there is enough to kill a hell of a lot of people.

JD May, I dont think the prisoner scandal hurts bush's chances at re-election in any way whatsoever. on the other hand, if we invaded canada to hunt for yetis, then yes, popularity would decrease. that is of course if we can discern between the yetis and big hairy canadians.

However unlikely, it could be a publicity setup from the bush administration... Think about it, the entire purpose of killing the American soldiers is to force the U.S. to pull out and that will most likely resort from political pressure back home. Their is no way the terrorists could be so out of touch they wouldn't know that most of this pressure is coming from Bush's inability to provide evidence for his reasons to go to war (cough WMDs cough. Since we could assume that this gas came from a stockpile somewhere and their is much more where it came from, why, after spending so long concealing it, would they blow a way to get us out of there with something in such insignificant doses to do any harm?

Keep in mind, I'm not saying I totally believe it was planted, I'm just putting the idea forth...

Um, actually the weapons laced with Sarin that were used in bombing in Iraq recently IS weapons leftovers from Iran-Iraq war. After Iran-Iraq war is over, weapons were scattered everywhere, it gets in anybody's hands. Dont believe what US media tells you; they're the most worst source for getting factual news you can have.
