Il Moro Help

Hey does anyone else here ride these boots. I was on krypton pros last season, my shell cracked, so I lucked out and got the il moros on warrenty. Great boot, they fit properly, blah blah blah. My one complaint is the bumps im getting on the top of my shins. It isnt shin bang, but actual welts on the top of my shin right around the top strap/cuff. I was wondering has anyone removed the entire top strap and replaced it with a booster strap? I'm thinking about giving that a try, also does anyone have an idea of how to make my welts go away

i ride them and deffinitely dont get that problem haha... But I think removing the whole top strap/ratchet thing would be a really bad idea because its what keeps the boot together for the most part and a booster strap wouldnt help

how do you buckle your boots, i always do the middle buckle as snugg as i like it, then take the slack out of the top and the bottom, ihad the booster straps on my pros and loved them, half the time i didnt do the top buckle, only the booster strap, im kinda mad i changed boots....but w/e

do you understand what the il moros are, they have 3 buckles....the middle buckle is the most important buckle, its what pulls your heel back. What you've posted is right, but i dont have shin bang, i have actual bumps on my shins from my shins which has never happened with this style boot, i've been riding them for a while, I have a feeling it has something to do with the top snowboard like strap and was wondering if anyone has the same problem

I just got hooked up with a pro-form on the Il Moros! Should be delivered next week. $235 with the sick ID liner. can't beat a deal like that. Stoked!

because the il moros have that snowboard binding type ratchet type top strap, that should help distribute the pressure along your shin. that really needs to be tight ALONG with the one across your ankle area. top of the foot doesnt matter too much but especially with a three buckle boot, that top one has to be tight as well. and dont take it off for boosters. dont

well maybe teh problem is the socks your using or teh way you put the bots on.

if there is a small bump or you socks there will be a big bump on your shin.

the idea behind the top strap is that you can ride the boot semi unbuckled, with the lower buckles holding you in. i usually leave the top one fairly loose (done up, but not slammed down), and crank down on the lower two. i suppose i get those lil bumps, but its just from being in a ski boot all day, its nothing painful, and something thats always happened for me. it goes away the next day.

the only problem i have with them, is theres such a narrow window between too tight and too loose, im like constantly dicking with them for like the first hour i ride. once they are right, DAMN they are right, but its a pain to find that balance.
