I think there's been "throwaway" digital cameras for a while now. But throwaway in a sense that you shoot the max allowed pictures, then bring it back to the store where they can download the images and print. Not sure what came of the camera itself. Old people were probably the only ones who used them. People hacked them and stuff too, so it was like a normal, cheap digi cam.
