IIphone 4s

So, i figure it might be time to step my phone game up. I usually break my phone every 3-4 months so for the past couple of years i have using shitty old school phones. But i think the time has now come for me to buy an iPhone.

Im not into the super cool geeky features of smart phones, so i figure an iPhone would be better than some other phone where i would be paying for a shit tone of things i would never use. As well, Apple is kinda a hometown company, and i have been raised on Mac products.

I heard that the iPhone 5 is probly coming out this summer, but it will be a larger phone. one of the reasons i shied away from smart phones for so long is their comparative bulkiness.

should i pull the trigger on the 4s now or wait for summer?

naw, i break my phones, i never lose them.

and the worst part is, i only break them doing innocuos things while sober.

anyone want to geek out of me and give me some pros and cons of each? or what you expect the iPhone 5 to be?

This. I have one for my galaxy and it works well. As for the phone itself, I'd wait till the 5 comes out because then you can always get the 4s for less.

it's really up to you. i have a very large phone (galaxy nexus) and i feel that the screen size benefits far outweigh the bulkiness. although it's wider, it's thinner than an iphone 4s.

also, the iphone 5 will have 4g...once you're on 4g 3g seems unbearably slow..something to consider if you'll be using mobile data frequently

if i were you i'd wait. if you don't dig the iphone 5 you can get the 4s for a bargain.

This. I love my 4s, but if I were you I'd wait. See if you like what they come out with, and if not you get the 4s for cheaper. Win-win.

I'd wait for the new BlackBerry 10 devices. This phone will surely be a beast with the new QNX platform.

I've had 4 iphones and after having one i wouldn't ever want a different phone, and they're durable as fuck the only one i broke i jumped in my pool with but I've dropped my 4s on pavement multiple times and the screen hasn't broke. I've also left one in snow overnight and it worked the next day when i found it no rice or anything. And mines fast too i keep in on 3g and its usually faster than my wifi. id go for it if i were you.

you should just get an iphone 4 for cheaper... there isn't that big of a difference between the 4 and 4s. I have the 4 and its the bestestestest and a huge improvement on my 2 year old 3g

Historically, the iphones have come out in the summer (with the exception of the very first one and the 4s), so waiting until June or July, if you don't need the phone right now, might be a good plan. It sounds like you've been doing fine without it, hold out.

For the moment though. Blackberry is on a transition stage as they acquired a new company QNX which make OS for unmanned aircrafts and other sophisticated military equipment that simply don't crash.

Now they're using the same tech in the next phones coming out, and was already used in the Playbook which is incredibly powerful in my opinion. Only time will tell.

Have you tried the playbook with the new OS that came out a couple weeks ago? It's half the price of an ipad and I personally like it better.

If you break a regular old school flip phone a lot, how the hell are you going to make a phone that is literally made out of glass on two sides last??

Just my $0.02

Buy a Defender Otterbox and you will not break your phone.

Too many other variables to tell you whether to wait or not. Either way, you will be pleased with an iPhone.

it takes training to remotely fly shit like that. looks like blackberry is gonna have to start having classes to teach people how to use their phone. and the playbook was a flop. android 4.0 powered tablets shit on everything on the market right now

What are you talking about?

Oh and by the way, last time I checked Apple already had classes to teach people how to use their phones..

Playbook was a flop when it was first released prematurely. With playbook 2.0, it's much better than any android tablet in my opinion.

this is what i'm talking about: "they acquired a new company QNX which make OS for unmanned aircrafts and other sophisticated military equipment that simply don't crash." and indeed, apple does. that's part of the reason i'm not a a big fan of Apple.

and no, it's still a flop. have you ever used the Transformer Prime? best tablet on the market today, hands down

^I was just stating how reliable the OS on the playbook was... It's not rocket science.

Yes I have seen the Transformer Prime, it's amazing but completely different than a PB.. Thing is massive.. I'll stick to a macbook.

it's not that big... pretty close in size to iPad 2. i have no clue why you would pick the PB over the TP... not one thing about the playbook is better than the transformer prime. the playbook only has a dual core processor while the transformer prime has a quad core... that alone sells it. and being able to dock it is just an added bonus. should i keep going on why blackberry is inferior in today's market?

^ You clearly haven't tried both.. Specs don't mean as much in this day and age. The OS is what makes the difference. Sure it looks much better on paper.

Also, I much prefer the size of the PB over ipads or the transformer. Way more convenient to pull out in the bus or what not and also for gaming.

At the price the PB comes with, it's basically a steal.

actually i have. if you don't have a good processor that will run the OS and UI quickly, what's the point? like i said, android 4.0 is a million times better than OS 2.0. the only thing the PB beats the transformer prime on is size and price. but, you get what you pay for. if you want a high performance, well made tablet with an incredibly stable and user friendly OS/UI, you have to pay a little more. saying blackberry is any of those is idiotic

^How is the playbook UI and OS not stable or "userfriendly"? All in all, I wouldn't trade my playbook for any other tablet out there..

Multitasking on the pb is flawless, it runs super smooth even if you run 10 apps at once.

No matter whitch one you get get an otter box...that will make your phone basically indistructable I've got one it's never failed me

did i ever say it was? and so is multitasking on EVERY tablet nowadays. that was an issue 5 years ago
