I personally think this is awesome, and I will definitely be entering. Its great to see IF3 expanding from just film, there is already so much of a focus on filmmaking in the ski world VS photography.

Pretty stoked for if3, im actually gonna enter this year lol

but this photo contest looks sick

I'm pretty sure Park/pipe/rails fall under the freestyle category of pro am.

Anyway, I'm writing an email to appeal for urban/ask why there isn't a category. However, I'm not going to send it for a couple hours or maybe tomorrow so if anyone has any reasons to appeal for urban, throw it in this thread and if I think there's merit, I'll throw it in my email.

I completely disagree. I think that urban is very different then jumps/rails/pipe. If you're idea of urban is limited to stair sets, group that shit together but now that urban includes bomb drops off roofs, wall rides, and gap jumps I don't think you can group them together anymore.

Meh, to me, anything park related is freestyle, if you're doing flips in the bc I consider it freestyle, but I just think of urban as an extension of park skiing, an extreme one, but an extension nonetheless in my eyes. I prefer to simplify things

Never knew anyone could enter IF3 in am category... stoked to see some homies potentially on a silver screen!
