If you were a serial killer, how many people do you think you could kill?

Key would be random victims that you've no connection to. Also, don't kill people that look alike, develops a profile and an MO, and let's be real, they all look like your first girlfriend that cheated on you with that guy.
Don't murder people the same way. Got mix it up, after all, you don't want to be linked to the dozens of murders you'll surely commit.
Don't abduct victims in similar places, again, develops a MO.
Don't be impulsive, impulsivity leads to sloppiness and mistakes (easier said than done, because impulse control is obviously an issue amirite?)
Don't dump bodies in the same place.
Work in many regions, out of state, involve multiple agencies that hate one another and are incapable of sharing info.
However, don't use your own vehicle to get there, there are cameras on toll roads and bridges. Similarly don't use a credit card/debit card on the road.
As tempting as it is to taunt the media and police with cryptic messages, codes, vague threats, and 5000 word manifestos, don't do it. your hubris and need for publicity will get you caught.
Don't tell anyone. Sounds straight forward, but it ain't. Let's be real, what good is serial murder without the attention?

Well, now that you mention it,
My school has a pep rally every year in the gym, every kid goes to it and they all are in teams up on the bleachers. Every kid is on the bleachers, so it would merely be building 4 homemade megabombs and a homemade trigger, going to the "bathroom" during one of these pep rallies, and kaboom, about 900 kids dead. I'd say not a bad start.
Now, on Halloween, that's where the big toll could come in. Give out big sized Reese's cups, but inject each cup with some sort of tasteless toxic chemical, and go around leaving bowls on people's doorsteps saying "take only 1 please". Go around during the night, re-filling each bowl, being sure not to get caught. I bet I could get a few hundred, even thousands, if I spread the bowls out over quite a few neighborhoods.
Now of course, this one wouldn't be you killing people, but you could get quite a few people killed. Fly a drone over into a prison yard, carrying some sort of assault weapon, be it a shotgun or a rife, drop it off, and let the chaos begin. It would be best to get someone on the inside to spread the word to some of the more "violent" in the prison. The prisoners could totally take out a good number of guards if you dropped in 2 weapons. Of course the guards would see this and the prisoners could totally be stopped instantly by watch guards with guns, and most prisoners aren't cold blooded murderers waiting to kill every breathing object like society depicts them, but imagine if the whole prison went into mayhem, and they escaped and took on the town. Could do in for a good amount of damage. But highly unlikely, not my best idea.
Easy way to inflict large amounts of damage would be to bring over an Ebola infected material, be it a bloody Ebola rag or a sample of saliva with the disease, into NYC, LA, or really any major city. Pay a street bum 50$ to go wipe the substance on door handles, subway seats, payphones... Retreat to a fairly sensable country that won't get their hands dirty with the worlds problems, and live out the rest of your days knowing you were responsible for the downfall of the world. But of course, I think there is some sort of vaccination/cure for Ebola that now, and i'm SURE someone else has thought of this

are u talking endurance here? like hundreds on thousands of people lined up just to get killed with a machete or something? cause then idk id probably get to like 20-30 and just be like yeah fuck this my arms dead. but if ur talking about over time before getting caught id say around 3 before they put out a warning, and thats if I'm super indiscreet about it. id say 10 if i was quiet. and around 15-20 they'd probably put on a bulletin on major news networks saying hey look out for this guy hell totes kill ur ass. by then id probably have to take a month break or so and go live in the woods or something, ya know, let things calm down. then going back at it prob 3-5 before its like oh shit this guys out here again. so in the long run id say anywhere between 10-35/40ish people. then again I'm more of a fan of long distance shooting, so it could easily be higher.

You probably be killing for one of those reasons (the kind of people you murder or the way you are murdering them). If not, I don't see whats the motivation for someone to commit murder at all.
