i luv modest mouse, but i heard they weren't that good live. is that true? iv'e never been to any of their concerts.

 
i haven't been to a show, but i've seen them quite a few times on various tv stuff, and they are even BETTER live.

they're from issaquah.

Modest Mouse BLOWS live, holy shit, i was a fan, but i went to one of their shows and now i can't listen to the shit anymore, i just can't take it. At The End's concert with Keane, The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, etc., etc.....they talked for half of the fucking concert, were totally stoned, drunk off their asses, and couldn't sing and couldn't play their instruments. Everyone left.

 
I am definatley going. modest mouse is so awesome. Its perfect timing too, I'm back from school that whole week on break

You gotta remember tho, deck the hall ball was the biggest concert they have ever played, so I'm sure that had a factor.

i agree with whoever says they suck live...they dont sound anything like on their new cd(which is all that most have heard). if thats what you expect you will be sorely dissapointed. they are always drunk and sound bad. listen to 'building nothing out of something'. if that is your fav album you might like them live. maybe

i like them live. But I jsut don't really like them. I think issac Brock is a jack ass. They went to my school though.

but 90% of the people who say they like modest mouse havn't heard 10% of it. and they are usually very dissapointed

ive seen em at the showbox 3 days after good news came out and it did sound like the cd. u may not have liked them at deck the hall ball( i was there) because they have a new drummer who didnt seem to 'rock it out' as much asthere older one. but im sure they have fixed it and trustme they r awsome live. justbecause all u haveheard is good news is prolly y u didnt like the show

I havn't heard much of their older stuff, I'll admit, but what I have heard from pre- Good News I've liked better than their new stuf, or at least enjoyed just as much. But I did go to Deck the Hall Ball and we left cuz they really didn't put on a good show there. I have also heard they're amazing live and one of my friends has seen them like 5 or 6 times so I guess it just depends on the show. When I saw them they just played and spent like 2 min just setting up for the next song.... it was lame...
