If you know a lot about cars

Oh no...some jackass over at urbandictionary.com thinks Subaru drivers are gay, whatever will I do? I actually don't even own one, I drive a 4X4 Toyota pickup, but I'll tell you that Subaru cars handle better than my truck in snow and shit, I'd trade up for one if I could afford it.

i am looking at this type of car i kinda shy away from it just cause its a hyundia but then i decided to get one thats a bit older with out the v6 cause u can save like 5000$ if u get like a 2000 and then with that money u can get a turbocharger( around 3000) wich will make that 4 cylinder rip and a full body kit (1000) and then reapiant and change some other parts like the exuast and then it will be a fucking sick whip

........ dude... no.

do not get a piece of shit 4-cylinder Hyundai and put a body kit on it... Those things are poorly built anyway and will crumble if you get into even a small wreck.

If you are going to turbocharge a car at least something decent. (for example - not a Hyundai or a Honda.)

Turbos are badass but one in a 4 banger Hyundai would be a joke.

and I'll assume you mean the Tiburon, which is a really ugly car in the first place.

Go with a Nissan or an older BMW in my opinion. You will be much, much, much more satisfied with your car, and with engine mods, you'll be able to smoke a lot of cars on the road.

Get a Euro, here are some ideas

VW Corrado with a VR6 swap (fast, fun, and IMO sexy)

VW Jetta GLX (V6 engine)

Audi A4 2.8 Quattro (V6)

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=219396819&dealer_id=59778655&car_year=1998&model=A4&num_records=&make3=AUDI&make2=BMW&start_year=1981&keywordsfyc=&keywordsrep=&engine=&certified=&body_code=0&fuel=&search_type=used&distance=75&model3=V8&model2=328IS&first_record=76&make=AUDI&color=&min_price=&drive=&default_sort=priceDESC&max_mileage=&style_flag=1&sort_type=priceDESC&address=45206&advanced=&end_year=2008&pager.offset=75&doors=&transmission=&max_price=&cardist=29

or

Audi A4 1.8t Quattro (turbo'd from the start with a lot of potential for mods later on)

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=221529554&dealer_id=60043375&car_year=1999&model=A4&num_records=&make3=AUDI&make2=BMW&start_year=1981&keywordsfyc=&keywordsrep=&engine=&certified=&body_code=0&fuel=&search_type=used&distance=75&model3=V8&model2=328IS&first_record=76&make=AUDI&color=&min_price=&drive=&default_sort=priceDESC&max_mileage=&style_flag=1&sort_type=priceDESC&address=45206&advanced=&end_year=2008&pager.offset=75&doors=&transmission=&max_price=&cardist=18

And don't let the mileage fool you, as long as the car was taken care of it will last a long time, especially Audi’s. My a4 has 193,XXX miles on it and when we sold or 5000 a couple of years ago it had 250,XXX on the engine.

If anything don't get a Hyundai

ya i really wanted a tib for a while but after reading the guy post about rear wheel drive i relized how sweet it would be and then with then i turned it into wanting an a4 becuase the awd is insane for winter driving and it has more room and what would u rather say i drive a hyundia or i drive an audi

RWD isn't bad, it just isn't as convenient or nice as AWD. i have a RWD right now, i like it but if she was a z71 she would be that much sweeter.

wow...i went from talkin about AWD to talking about 4WD like they were the same thing.

i think chevy and gmc should come out with some AWD trucks.

this kid cant be serious you dont supercharge a 4cl engine you turbo it and a turbo with installation is more than $3000 your lookin at like 5000

What exactly is wrong with the Trailblazer?

Have you ever known anyone who's had problems with theirs, or is it just an appearance issue?

Hate to tell you this, but SUVs don't offroad very well either, unless it's something like a Jeep Cherokee, they all pretty much suck.

i never said supercharge i said turbo charge and alot of people do it and if u do it it urself it is around 3000 and around 3000 means 3000-4000

^^

ya u can they do essentially the same thing they take air and compress it and force it into the cylinders the turbocharger is powere by exhaust gas and the supercharger is powered by the crankshaft

I was being somewhat sarcastic...totally true though, one reason superchagers don't have any lag, thery don't need to build exhaust back pressure to power the turbine.

'Mess with' meaning wouldn't bother modding? Because I can think of alot of cars with 4cyl that would stomp your truck into oblivion.

ya a a well tuned 4 cylinder can kill a unefficiant v6 but who are we kidding get ur self and old bmw v12 if u want to move

i dunno. i don't really care for them, i guess. but if i had a car and i couldn't get anything else, then fuck ya.

my truck kicks ass for being STOCK, thank you very much.

Wow, hardly anyone on this site knows anything knowledgeable at all about cars, especially those suggesting that you buy anything pre-1995 and adding you drop a turbo or anything in it for that matter. Buy a car that YOU like, for reasons that you think it will suit you for. The 93k is alot, but if you would rather have a civic with 200k miles you are a goddamn moron. Join a site where you can learn about it, don't ask here or all you will get is useless information from people that think you can buy a 3rd gen rx7 for 8k,...

http://www.clubtuscani.com/

is a good site for tiburon info,

ask around there for modding advice and input on the cars Pros and Cons...There are many on this site that have proven that the tiburo with proper upgrading can churn out some good power; Take everything anyone has to say about anything with a grain of salt. If you have future plans on upgrading your car from stock form, plan on spending a good chunk of change to make it a street demon and read up; there's a lot on this site and elsewhere.

hough many on there are doubting the potential of the tiburon; they might be a bit jealous that most of them drive 90s and you are buying a newer car or just because it's not turboed stock like the STi & EvO or have a gi-normous aftermarket like Honda.

I will stick to my guns. Hyundais are awful cars. They are made cheaply at the least cost possible, have terrible service records compared to other companies like Toyota or Honda, and have some of the worst depreciation you can get in a vehicle.
