Going back to the topic of people who work hard in america get a payoff, read the book or watch the play Nickel and Dime. Its about a reporter who tries to live off minimum wage jobs while finding a place to live and feeding herself properly, and she can't do it without the help of other people, despite working her ass of in two full time jobs. I would be willing to bet that a lot of low class people work just as hard as middle and upper class people, but because of the circumstances that they live in, they aren't able to easily propser. Now you could say that if someone is working minimum wage jobs, its their own fault for not getting any education, but a lot of these people are growing up in environments where they have to drop out of high school or can't afford to go to school because they have to work to help support their parents and little sisters or brothers. The whole American dream isn't as true as people often make it out to be. I bet that most people who grew up in lower class homes now have lower class families.

Well no one said its easy for everyone. Obviously some people are gonna have overcome a shitload of obsticles to achieve more than anyone in their family ever has. But, You dont need to goto highschool to make it to college. You only need to take a G.E.D test which anyone with half a brain can pass. From there they can get government assistance subsidized or unsubsidized student loans and at least get a two year degree or certification for a specialized job. From there the skies the limit. Im sure the play you watched was great though

They also have much higher taxes every year they have to have a vehicle inpection by the gov't which averages to about $500 US, plus road taxes, and on top of that food prices and consumer goods are through the roof...
