If you could spend 15 minutes to talk to anyone in history, who would it be?

So many I would want to meet. Thomas Paine, Thomas Jefferson, Abigail Adams, Mark Twain, Darwin, Abraham Lincoln, Marvin Gaye since I have been listening to his music a lot today, Voltaire, Thomas Edison. Albert Einstein,

If proof as in the Bible, the Bible can't be a reputable source because it wasn't made by eyewitness accounts, and the gospels were written by unknown random people decades after Jesus supposibly lived. There's no archeological evidence either, so it's not dumb at all. No one is trying to be cool, its just legit suggestion.

hahah funny We were just learning about Marx in Modern World history today.

I would have to say Benjamin Franklin

anyone from like the 1700 so i can claim the shit out of ipods and other cool stuff so theyd think i was a wizard

i dont care, but he is mentioned in coran too. and to the other guy, noone is making himself cool by defending christianity blindly either

hmmm its a tie between Hunter S thompson, kurt cobain, sigman freud, timothy leary, albert einstein, budda, jesus, allah, and karl marx.

o yeah and there are numerous records that prove jesus accually existed, i forgot the date but he was born sometime in the late summer in the year 5 BCE. They don't know if he was accually a carpenter but they do know he traveled around teaching his own belifs about religion for three years before he was put to deatth by pointus piolet (sp?) .

hahahaha.... fuck you!

I just thought that the name of a person should be spelled right. i dont know. i guess if its aloud to be for everything then yeah.

not really trying to be picky here, but if you are trying to make a logical argument, at least spell the Qur'an somewhat correctly.

also, the qur'an is also a religious text with no basis in fact, therefore it is also not really credible evidence.

You're right there isn't any archeological evidence that proves he exists. But its pretty damn hard to prove someone existed 2000 years ago since he wasn't even famous until centuries after his supposed death. I'm not one who believes in the divine but I really hope Jesus did exist. Either jesus existed and gave an exemplary moral standard or some author created a character with an exemplary moral standard.

^^that would be amazing

but in all seriousness.....

jesus

thomas tew......yes he was a badass pirate, and yes he is one of my ancestors.......look him up

or everyone had an exemplary moral standard which is pretty simple "only do shit to people that youd want to be done to you"

first, fuck you i lost the game!

second, i am not religious at all but that comment he made was just stupid.

third there are MULTIPLE quotes from famous historians, writers and philosophers from that time period that jesus did indeed walk the earth, just do some research, you'll find all you need.

haha, or you could save everyone hundreds of years of searching and just give us say, six names?

yea, i was thinking that too.

Jesus

Churchill, FDR

Alexander the great

Charlemagne

Job

too many to say, i probably would say Jesus for my #1 choice

and socrates, i'm surprised only 1 person mentioned that. I would have forgotten about him.

damn, i was hoping i wouldn't have to type anymore!

-roman historian (said to be greatest historian of rome) Cornelius Tacitus

-another roman historian (makes multiple references to jesus) Suetonius

-ancient historian (talks about jesus' birth) Thallus

-basically same as above guy Phlegon

-stoic philosopher, wrote letter to son about jesus mara bar-serapion

-historian, describes well known traits of jesus josephus
