my scratch pros are mounted like 5 cm back of true center( the very middle). is it safe to remount them forward to rtue centre???? will the ski still be fine????? is true centre reallt the best way to go??

rule of thumb is mount your skis three times...

HOWEVER... you can mount a pair of skis as many times as you want if you use wooden golf tees and epoxy to plug your old mounting holes. The wood to wood bond is like new.

World cup race skis get this treatment all the time. Down hill skis get faster with age and get passed from one racer to the next for a number of years.
