HE SEARCH IS ON.

We're looking for the ultimate Ullr girl – skier or rider, of any discipline – big mountain, park & pipe, boarder+cross, you name it. Don’t be shy. We’re looking for six girls to bring out to Whistler for the TELUS World Ski & Snowboard Festival.

HOW IT WORKS.

There are two categories – Open and Amateur

OPEN - $25,000 prize purse.

Any female who thinks she’s got what it takes can enter and be eligible to win $25,000 in cold, hard cash. If you are a sponsored athlete or being paid to ski or ride, we consider you professional - you belong in the open category.

AMATEUR – Ultimate Pro hook-up (free shit)

Enter the amateur category to compete against other amateurs for a shot at this killer prize. All non-pros welcome. It’s based on votes, so it’s anyone’s game. If you win, you won’t be amateur for long. The Amateur category winner will receive…

Professional photo shoot with A-list photographer

Inclusion in Misschief Films or Matchstick Productions 2008 DVD

HOW TO WIN.

You know you’re the Ullr Girl, but we can’t just take your word for it. Once you’ve entered, keep your profile up to date with images, news, and tales of why you and only you are the next Ullr girl. Show the community why you’re the Ullr girl, and with more than just luck – you’ll be in. Make it fun, crazy, creative, smart and endearing. We want to see it all. Entertain us. Surprise us. And share it with your friends to get votes. Spread the word.

The three girls with the most votes in each category (yes, that's six girls in total) will be flown out to Whistler, BC for the World Ski and Snowboard festival next April, where they will battle it out for the Ullr crowning. We'll host competitions to test their skills on and off the mountain, looking for all-around ability from big mountain to park and pipe and slope style. Our finalists will be involved in tons of other fun activities and challenges. Check back often as we leak the contest details, it will be a week-long competition....

We will also be hand picking some extra girls to compete in the open category for the $25 000 grand prize! So keep in mind - we'll be looking at all of the profiles on the site...watching your competition results from the 2005/06 and 2006/07 seasons, overall votes and all the awesome pics and video you put on ifullrwasagirl.com! If you're one of the 'invited girls' you'll need to find your own way up here and find a spot to crash at night! So keep your friends in Whistler on stand-by around event time.

All entrants must be female, above 16 years of age, and must read and agree to the terms and conditions of this contest.

I just made a thing on there but I can't figure out how to upload pictures.  Sasha and Nina are on it too.  
 
You do realize that this is to send them to the freeskier fest in whistler, which Kaya gets to go to anyways.... so you should vote other people so they have a chance of a lifetime, not someone who will be there already.
 
The girl in the lead looks lame, but it's also kind of lame for you to come on here and post a thread telling everyone who to vote for.  It was cool when Olivia did that for that American Eagle contest and that other kid did it for that video contest because we were skiers coming together to support a skier who was competing against a bunch of random people we knew nothing about.  But this is a skiing contest, and Pip isn't the only one of us who's competing.  Practically ever girl on Newschoolers has a profile for that, some pros, some ams, some sick girls you've never heard of, some lame girls who probably don't even ski.   To everyone else who reads this thread:  check out the out the other girls' profiles, too.
 
well of course, it's just because a group of us think she is cool and decided to post a thread about it. There are obviously other girls there. Maybe someone should post a thread about them if they think they should be voted for.

Sorry for not making a thread about people I don't know. I did provide the link to the site, so people at least know that it is happening, and can vote it the first place.

i know phillipa well, and i also know that she is very good at big mountain riding, as well as park riding. She has an awesome chance to do great things at this event, so I am giving her my full endorsement and my vote! I hope you make it girl!
 
so a short bio and a few still shots, along with other people telling you to vote so and so, is how the contest is going to go?

sounds like bull shit to me, there is alot of money and other shit on the line. im sure the best person that could win wont.
 
no i know about watching people get fucked over. And from visting the site and seeing many post vote "whoever! they are the best", dosent seam like the best way to run a contest. It turns into a contest on who can get the most votes, not who is the best rider. Girls who enterd the comp and arent on NS, dont stand a chance. Having a large contest on-line like this dosent work well, i hope the girl who is the best wins, but things dont turn out like that all the time.
 
well, if girls aren't on NS, they can get on NS or have friends who think they deserve it get on NS and post one for them. Seeing as though it's free, it isn't TOO difficult to do.

I made this thread because I  personally know pip, and I think that she should be one of the winners, so it's not that big a deal.

It is a contest about who can get the most votes... because the most votes would equal a great number of people that think one person deserves to be picked. It doens't have to do with skill. That's the whole idea.
