its not gonna happen...in order for it too happen, we need to start fighting a three front war...we can currently fight a t front war easily and most likely win both fronts...but if it were to happen, i think that whistler would all of a sudden be getting unbelievable year round business because of people like us

my sister's new husband is a marine reservist. he finally got sent over after being stuck down at camp pendelton for about 2 months. he really didn't wanna go cause he doesn't agree with it. it would suck even more if you never joined to fight at all, just got picked.

My dad got 4F during 'Nam for being too skinny, so that's what I would put my hopes on. And I would stick around for a WWI or WWII situation, but not for a war on Iraq situation.

exactly, we dont really need the draft with all of the technology we have. if you noticed, we haave not been using as many ground troops in the past ten years. also, the draft would cause too much of an uproar.

 
well i heard that a while ago bush was starting to talk about it, at least this is what my brother in law (the marine) told me.... bush wanted to do it, but they told him not to because back in vietnam they they didn't take people in college. well that pretty much left all the low income people and minorities to go to war. sorry if im not making any sense today.

TAK I find you amusing, you are more then willing to enjoy the freedoms we have here yet aren't willing to stand up and fight for them, or so other people can have them too. Did you know that in Vietnam (i believe it's here, one of my brothers roommates is from there) you HAVE to join the army when you turn 16 or 17. There is NO choice. He was lucky and excelled at school and was able to attend a university here in the states, second he touches soil back home he is in the military and can't leave. Would you rather have that TAK. I can't believe that after all our country has been through in the last two years that you would post something like you did. It takes courage to fight for your country and you should be thankful and praying for our troops over seas, making it so you don't have to go over there.

 
Under the current curcumstances, I'd fight to my death when Saddam and his troops land on my beach in Southern California, till then, peace out.
