every one disses inline and i think these people are full of fukin shit, while i dont like rollerblade style the tricks they do are exatly like skiing, there are 2 brothers from the yasatoki family (spelling?? no idea) they haev won every pipe comp for years they are amazing double flat spins switch 1260s so much shit I want to see these boys ski I bet within a year they would be better in the park and pipe than 90% of the pros while they may not be good at freeriding niether are most of you little job kids skiing a foot of powder on a gromed run isnt bc.

rollerblading is actualy preety similar when al you do is ride pipe and slide rails and hit kickers, same grabs same grinds same spins people just deny it. ya man! the yasatoki (spelling ??) brothers rock! they go like 25 feet high in vert ramps and do shit like viking flips and many other signatur tricks theyve made up. if i remember correctly the viking thing is like a stretched ot 180 late cork 900 or sumthing. they are like video game characters.

its somewhat similar up to a point.....theres more weight on skis which would be hard for them to get used to, carving, and edges. in a pipe on skates i used to be able to do sw rodeos and stufff and they were really easy, just hard to land. i think they would be able to stomp tricks but it would take them a while to get used to it. after that they would be really good cause they have air awareness and know hwo to throw shit which is exactly how you throw it on skis

they are alike in ways but are mostly diff, the thing they are mostly the same in is rails, but in the pipe they wouldnt be very good, doubt they could carve, and deff not go switch because like some1 else pointed out the balance need to skiing switch n backwards on blades is totally different

actually i kno first hand that rollerbladers pick up skiing extremly fast. One of my friends is a pro rollerblader, and she started skiin towards the end of the season, and she progressed faster than anyone ive ever seen, boy or girl.

Skis are easyer then skates, there thats it. Skates you landing on like a foot of space, skis like 5. On rails if you dont lockon on skates you die. Skis you have a fair amount of room of error before you die.
