-Old people don't need companionship. They need to be isolated and studied so it can be determined what nutrients they have that might be extracted for our personal use.
if that ever would happen, most the ski areas would still be attached to the US but we would get beachfront property. only the far west side such as LA and SFO would break off. that wouold be sweet though - no more LA tourists at mammoth

I guess our salmon exports would just increase. Raising the price to buy salmon locally, which would lead to bankrupt companies... then people couldn't afford to go skiing so the ski fields would close and argh#@#$
The sasquatches would all have to goto the Kootneys and Drink kokanee beer, such is the fate of the sasquatch should the west coast sink into the ocaen.
SCHOOL GO BOOM NOW! - sign protesting our crumbly school.
That makes no sense. LA, SF, SJ, OAK, and SD would all be underwater... That's like 60% of the population... and every single important economical centre in the state... only the Valley Cities would be saved...
Sacramento and Fresno would be our largest cities at which point. Ew.
Not to mention all of our sick resorts and back country (half of Tahoe, Mammoth, June Mt, Mt Baldy when it snows is pretty fantastic, Mt. Whitney) would be under water... I'm confused why skiminnesota would celebrate that... Maybe he has never been to the west coast and therefore does not understand the greatness of the Sierras?
Fresno- fuck yeah! Fresno County was ranked one of the world's largest agricultural economies. CA would still have a somewhat strong economy with just agriculture, but you lose your ports and tech centers (silicoln valley). However, you lose the vary and the whole state is fucked and even America is kinda fucked since CA is 14% of the American economy.
