I understand your concerns, but I think you are taking it a little too far. Yes, there are some people taking advantage of the commercial opportunity in skiing, but that is a very small percentage of the skiing community. It's true that things are changing in the sport, but that is partially because we have moved beyond the stage of being a brand new sport. There is more money involved, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing. Im not talking about pro skiing, Im talking about at the local level. Young highschool kids can get involved in the sport much easier than they could 10 years ago, and they can love it just as much as people did back in the day. Skiing is an endlessly changing sport, thats part of what makes it fun, and weather you admit it or not, it's part of why you started freeskiing in the first place. There are always going to be things that I don't like about the ski industry, but it is still about doing crazy shit and having more fun than most people ever will, and I don't see that changing any time soon.
