If Obama was white, how do you think this election would be different?

If he was white he wouldn't have been elected in the democratic primary because of his lack of experience. I'm not saying he would never become president, but he wouldn't be president now. Hillary would have won the nomination, and a morbidly obese cow could have beaten McCain in the last election.

He won BECAUSE of his "lack of experience," not in spite of it. 2008 was a year when after 8 years of horrible disasters from Washington, being an outsider was seen as an advantage.

Being black probably hurt him more than it helped him even in the Dem primary. There are a lot of racist democrats, especially in the south, that just don't trust him because he's not white.

To be honest I dont think this is a good thing. I honestly would prefer a old dude who isnt current then a young hip guy. Just my personal view on what a president should be like

Finally some other people see this!! I remember the first election everyone in my school had obama t shirts and was totally amped on him. I would ask them why they wanted obama and they knew nothing about him other than he was black. Fucking idiots

To all the people talking about liberal doctors ill film say it again. 9 out of ten doctors are against obamacare. Not very liberal to me

I didn't say that, I said he was viewed as an outsider. In 2008 there was some truth to that since he'd only been in the senate for one term and had been a state senator since 1996. Compared to the other people running that looked like an outsider, doesn't mean he was.

Criticize what I say, not what I don't.

you clearly said "being an outsider was seen as an advantage"

so hes an outsider...with a career in politics. Makes sense to me

12 years of politics in Illinois if far too much. If you want to be considered an outsider from a politics standpoint in Illinois, you shouldn't have ever served a day in office. We're home to some of the most crooked fucking politicians in the country.

Blago, George Ryan, Tony Rezko, Jesse Jackson Jr. only to name a few in the past decade.

No I didn't. I said being an outsider was viewed as an advantage and compared to the other people running he looked like an outsider.

If you're just going to sit there and burn straw men then you might as well leave.
