If National Geographic Did Skiing

Could you imagine the quality of pictures if photographers as good as the ones for National Geographic took skiing pics?

And with videos, they do it all the time catching the action better than anyone else, and the money they dish out. It'd be sick if huge companies did this only for the quality of the footage.

It's not like it would ever happen but I came across their site after a Yahoo! search and their pics are incredible.

i get the feeling that if national geographic did skiing stuff it would be similar to Warren Miller stuff.

Mostly just from their experience with stuff like this, like, the skier would almost always be in the dead center of the frame and they'd have a shit load of artistic angles just like the Spin Drift Pro guys.

Also, the cameras they use are so sweet that... imagine what they could do with the footage, they could slow it down so much and have it zoomed in on the person's expression and stuff, it'd sick.

K, that ski to the max thing is kinda cool, kinda not cool. The first clip I watched there was a huge train of people doing the loop... then it showed a super slo mo of a guy do a three with some ugly stiffy grab and then two huge arm flails... then another game started doing a 3 cross and then it stopped.

On this other clip... it has Pink driving an Audi with a big kite thing that lifts her off the ground when she goes off the side of the road.... and she is the worst fuckin actor ever.

But... in the photos they have some super high quality pics of a guy sliding an Urban Rail... some dudes both in the air at the same time... and some other dude doing a hucked invert (i can tell it's hucked cause he's already upside down and only about a foot off the jump).

Probably cheesy, but still pretty good for the sport.
