IF im5'4 are the 170 armada halos to big?

i'd say no. i used 175 JJ's recently and 185 nordica radicts and was fine. they're rockered too, and if you're still growing you're ok. i'm 5' 5"
 
I would say your skis are way too short......, op if you are growing still head height or even a bit higher is just fine.

i'm 5'5" and ride 170 alpha 2's, i think you will be fine if you have some leg strength.
 
Haha, w/e man, personally i just like a shorter ski. Theyre still like mid forehead on me, i just pushed 6 ft like a week after i got em, when i purchases them they were at the top of my head or so.
 
I'm only an inch or two taller than you and my 170 Halos feel perfect. They ski short due to the rocker but definitely not ski blade short. Great skis, you won't be let down.
 
I'm only 2 inches taller and rock 171 THall's. Being a rockered skis, the Halos will be fine for your dimensions. One caveat is you will need a little more leg strength if you're coming from significantly shorter skis.

 
Ya dude you are good with the 171 for sure. The rocker and softness of the ski will be cool for your height and weight.
 
id say that 170s wouldnt be bad especially if you are going to grow into them. also though i would not compare them to pow skis. i demo'd a pair of 185 nordica patons which are similar to radicts but thinner, and the contact point is so far back on pow skies that it was like skiing a 160.
 
You are probably fine. I'm 5'8" and i ride 179 K2 Domains which is really like 182. And i ride 186 JJ's.
 
Did you grow 6 inches in a week or two? Shit, that's impressive. To each their own on ski length though. For op, 170's are on the longer end for you, but they're rockered meaning they ski much shorter due to running length. At 5'10'' my shortest skis are my park skis measuring at 182, and longest are 193ish (pow) and I have no issue skiing them. The 193's are rockered, and they feel shorter than my park skis. You'll be fine and have something to grow into.
