Well im not sure how it works where your from, but im pretty sure youll be paid minimum wage, which is whatever the rate is in your province/ state, like if i or any of my friends became a server at pizza pizza

they would be making $9.60CAD an hour ( as of march 2010 ) which is student wage ( anyone under 18 who works less than 28 hours a week )

someone over 18 would be making $10.25 an hour ( as of march 2010 ) which is genimum wagem not sure if i missed the whole point of your question but yea search what your states or province minimum wage is

as for tips....its more than you would be making at a part-time job at non-tipping places....so really its all bonus, go for it.
