If i wanted America to fail I would attack every mistake or ugly necessity we have made without proposing any relevant ideas or solutions

Yeah fuck politics, and...er...encourage people to vote for a politician who's taking part in all that politics business. Makes perfect sense.

all i could think about throughout that whole thing was how much i wanted to slap that guy in the face. such an annoying voice

Complete logical fallacy, Tu Quoque. If you do not want to engage in the debate in a productive manor than it is best to just observe.

Yes the argument is fundamentally flawed because it is filled with loaded questions and black and white fallacies. My view on the whole thing is, SHUT UP AND THROW SOME ROCKS. The government originally drew it's legitimacy from the people it governs. It is not quite as direct now. The question is, can we restore the government to work effectively and efficiently?

What is also important to look at is our demands. Are our demands too far fetched, too frequent, and/or too large for a government to consider the demands?

Just something to think about

I’m sorry for my

mistake. I forgot the “non-ski gabber” forum section on

newschoolers.com requires full, thorough, and thoughtful responses. Simply

typing “threads” or posting a .gif will not suffice. Where are my internet manners? I hope my

partial response will leave you satisfied. Below I have listed the basic ideas I gathered from this video.

Let’s not conserve

energy because fossil fuels will last forever.

CO2 emissions have no

effect on the environment.

Large factories and

urban areas cannot be powered by alternative energy.

No such thing as

"over-foresting", "over-mining", or

"over-farming". You can use the earth’s resources as long

as you want with no consequences.

The free market is the

only way to economic prosperity.

New regulations are

confusing to small business owners and potential great inventors. They

could understand old regulations easier and therefore had a greater chance of

being successful. You can't start companies, much less successful companies, with these new regulations.

The extinction of one

animal has no effect on the food chain. Why should we even be

worried about one species? Let's not even double check to make sure a population is

doing well.

Apparently, everyone in

America prays…

So, that is what I

gathered from this political propaganda video which seems to be a theme for

both parties, especially during an election year. So as I said

before…”Oh great, 6 more months of this shit”. Nice latin, BTW.

Pretty much this. Government probably just watched Kony 2012 and tried to do something like that. Its really sad these days how a well edited video with a certain tone of music and stating random facts with hardly any proof will actually sway thousands of votes just because so many people are to dumb to question anything. Thank god I live in a ski town and can drown out all this bullshit in the mountains.

i'll fully respond to this later, but even if you are republican that video is some utter bullshit. i love america and that video is retarded

man you're a fuckin retard. I would say the only thing i agree with in that video is the eminent domain statement.

If I wanted America to fail I would have its population focus on catchphrases on youtube instead of actual political issues.

Oh wait....

If Carlsberg made pointless propaganda videos.................they'd be the best pointless propaganda videos ever

i doubt it

I know your an educated lad though so im not going to argue with you because it will go nowhere

Real Talk right there... It is such bullshit how our Businesses have to be held to strict environmental standards, while places like China can do whatever the fuck they want and aren't held to any standards. I dont suggest we just dump harmful chemicals and pollute the earth as much as we want, but don't just make environmental regulation limited to the US. If we have to follow these standards, so should everyone else, because it only hurts our business and economy while everyone else is exempt from it.

we seriously have to recheck our consumption worldwide. we need to get to a point where we do not need non-renewable sources or else we have no future.

i am sick of this attitude that all is "ours". even that asteroid bullshit.

You do realize you can't just tell the rest of the world what to do and then expect them to do it? And some Americans wonder why people think they're arrogant...

Yes I do realize that and I by no means am advocating marching around mandating that everyone abide by our EPA standards, but if I were a business owner, why would I want to stay in America where I pay higher environmental regulations, when I can do my business internationally where I don't have to pay these taxes. What I am saying is why are we putting all these environmental regulations on our own economy while others aren't doing anything to contribute? Makes no sense

I agree, strangely enough.

The real culprit is the systematic use of industrial technology; instead of bitching about regulation/deregulation, it's time we admit that the level of technological process we have achieved thus far is too much too soon. We need a small but intelligent faction of citizens to work against these systems, seeking to break them down beyond the point of repair; offering only nature as the alternative.

Consider: we are a 2,000,000 year old species. The industrial revolution was ~200 years ago. We haven't adapted to the stressors modern society places on us, and we are experimenting with it at the expense of our environment, our autonomy, and our dignity as individuals.
