If Colt McCoy didnt get hurt

Texas would probably be winning. It's a shame. even for bama cuz beating a quarter back with no experience who doesnt have the nerves to handle a game of this caliber is not a big accomplishment.

Texas would not be winning. Bama is playing some very conservative ball right now, as they should.

yeah, as soon as he went out that game sucked major dick, it was unexciting. I dont know how alabama could even feel accomplished after that because they beat a freshman, who has probably taken like 3 snaps. good for bama, but the game means nothing now

i mean, winning the division 1 national championship is a pretty big accomplishment...

if only texas scored more than alabama theyd be winning! if only alabama didnt get into the endzone so much texas would be winning!

i hate both teams so i dont really care. its just terrible that McCoy's college career has to end like this. it has been an extremely dissappointing game

texas would not be winning. it would have been closer for the first half and then bama would have pulled away

Honestly, if Alabama doesn't realize they can't sit back and watch Texas might have a chance!

this game is amazing right now. i hated texas coming into the game but im really rooting for them now. if this freshman quarterback can pull this off, i will be in awe

meh, nobody is going to remember bama winning it, they will just remember McCoy going down. im sure bama will be happy but im sure they would have rather beat texas at full force

I'm glad Texas lost but once McCoy went out the game got pretty boring. Pretty wack though, the hit didn't even look bad and it he sure as hell didn't look gimp walking off the field..

the guy is just a living testimony on how you should live your life, you noticed a difference in how he carries himself and its evident, this right here is why he is colt mccoy....mad respect for him whether he played in the game or not

Colts the fucking man, his arm is worth millions so I'm sure they weren't just trying to win a game, they were looking forward to his future in the NFL. He is probably one of the classiest guys out there. Besides all that the game would of been A LOT more interesting if he would of been in the game. Him and Shipley are a scary combo... Shipley will for the first 3 rounds forsure!

I wanted Bama to win the whole time, but god damn, Garret Gilbert did some serious work. I gotta give it up for the true freshman.

you can really speculate about that because it would have been closer but alabama may have played a different game plan. You cant really say that texas would have won if mccoy played because alabama and texas would have played differently

exactly! When someone like McCoy is in you aren't just going to play the same defense you are against a true freshy. But I think they could of done some work with McCoy. And Gilbert is insane! I was looking up stuff about upcoming recruits and McCoys little bro is commited to Texas but wont play because this Gilbert kid broke like every Texas passing record there is! He will lead Texas back to the National Championship in the next 3 years!
Also if you like Shipley, he has a brother thats soft verbal to Texas, and is basically the same person on the field!! He's going to be a Senior so there is a little while till we see what happens!

right on man, texas and gilbert have a future. but i think that Alabama wouldn't have run the ball and would have opened the offense up more if mccoy was in

whats he saving his arm for? colt mccoy does not really have a future in the NFL. hell be lucky if hes holding a clipboard as an qb coach or maybe OC (stetching this.) in 5 to 10 years.

well then why didnt they just play aggressive the whole game, if running the ball with the Heisman trophy winner didnt work why didnt they pass to stay aggressive like the first half where they met with success, Im a Texas fan but if your Alabama why chance success?

i dont know, that is the thing no one knows how the game would have gone if mccoy stayed in because he didnt play the game. You can't speculate on what didnt happen

alabama played with out mark ingram when texas was making their comback. alabama outplayed them and was the better team just stop.

They didn't open up the offense (or defense) because they didn't need to. A good team wont risk turnovers to run up the score when they know they can win by playing conservative football and by managing the clock.
