Ideas for park

So tomorrow I'm heading over to my local mountain to tell them how to make the park this year.

I already know basically how I want it (a few kickers and some rails), but has anyone got any ideas for kinda small fun features, mainly made out of snow?

Also the government has agreed to pay for about $10 000 worth of rails, so which ones should we buy?

We've already got two flatbars and a box..

You should get a kink or a C box. their sick. and something out of snow would be like a spine, those are fun to hit too

buy some Giant tubes to bonk

Buy lots of metal for rails

lots of wood or w.e else you need

Build a mixture of rails and boxs

Flat down boxes and rails

Flat rails, flat boxs. With flat tops, single and dub barrels

Make down rails

double, tripple kinked rails and boxes.

A whale tail box, rainbow rails and boxs, S and C's

D-F-D rails and boxes are really cool

As for jumps, make sure they know how to build proper jumps so we don't have another gay lawsuit.

mellow kink rails are fun, tube and barrel bonks also, for a snow feature obv's jumps, but u could make like a step-up to an elevated table made of snow to like a little kicker off kind of like whats in candides anomoly seggy, it would be fun

buy plastic culvert pipe:

yes, it's corrugated, but you can still slide it really well, and it's fun because it vibrates your feet. Also set them up on the top of quarter pipes.

also, go through a junkyard for pre-made rails. Using old lift towers is fun. Buy heavyweight plastic barrels for jibs and bonks, put them sideways, straight up and down, whatever/

build your own boxes or rails. I always though that making rails and boxes identical, and setting them up identical would be cool, because you could learn a trick on a box and then try it on a rail that's set up exactly the same. Flat down and Down flat down are good, obviously make some flat rails and flat boxes.

as for snow features, if you made a jump that jumped up over a roller, it would be realllly fun. you could hand drag, butter, tap, whatever. here's the idea:

obviously step ups to snow butter pads are always fun as well.

Basically, you don't have a lot of money, so be creative. Buy junk! use it!

also, you neeeeeed to remind them that if they want a successful park, make it legit and safe the first year. If they try to half ass it the first year as a test run, then it won't be recieved well.

a lot of parks are laking in urban type things. a picnic table is one of the funnest things in a park. so i would go for one of those

reverse hip! never seen one really done. basically side takeoff for a downhill landing. would be pretty sick and super fun.

Yeah, the junkyard is full of good stuff that you can use. See if you can get a car in there to jib, picnic tables, barrels, benches... urban stuff. I think it would be pretty cool to have a car in the park everyday, not just for competitions. Get a nice row of kickers of all sizes.

I also like the jump-to-roller. There could be some interesting stuff going on there.

Be creative with what you have, but as said before, don't half-ass it. Make quality features, not quantity of features.

put in something like an up rail to flat(snow) to down rail and next to it is a step up to flat to drop off, big rainbows are always fun, and some tall bonks (like the width of a barrel but 3 or 4 times higher)

^yo wtf my computers jacked. You should put a death gap with a pit of spears or a moat of sharks so snowboarders who usually would try to ruin landings would just fall to their death.

yeseterday we found a way to prevent the snowboarders...dont let em in we watched everyone that did that aand if they tried to come on we would let them hahaha

that would be the same as taking a regular hip and just carving out the backside for a landing and then taking off from the regular landing area...the slople would have to be angled weird to do that though

that box is sick but when you see it in real life it is the craziest thing ever

i am kind of a pussy but i was afrade to look at it the first time i saw it

The most versatile, trickable features are:

-Flat down

-Flat

-Down

-Urban style down

-Trap

-A-frame

-DFD

-FDF

-Dragontail aka Wailtail

Rainbows, though fun, aren't very trickable. I do not think they should be a priority in a park, especially one thats just getting going. A saddle box is a decent substitute for a dragontail, and you could go smaller for the same kicker effect, you just lose the switchup.

A good hip would be tight. The moto line concept mentioned already (step up to step down) would be very hard to maintain.

Add bonks if you can, mad cheap. Stalls are also very fun. I'd like to see some big quarter pipe somewhere, full vert and all. Have a stall on one side, and a will ride on the other, and still be able to air it out all over.

BIG Quarter Pipes are super fun and everybody of every skill level can do something on them. Wallrides are really fun too. If you want to check out a great rail park, check out Keystone's A51 I went there two years ago and it was like jib paradise, all sorts of rail features, wallrides, they even had a wall/spine you could hit from the front, stall ontop, switch it up and finish on the backside (kinda like my girlfriends). But ya look at other places that have great parks, I know there are some other great setups out there. Winter Park, CO has a killer pipe too from what I remember, they made it a little narrow but shaped it perfectly so that you could launch out of it without having to pump super hard or get a ton of speed going into it. But ya, just check out some other great parks and you'll see some good stuff. Lastly, make sure you get features that are interchangeable so you can try different runs and keep it fresh.

get like a 16 ft long shotgun rail, and then go for a 45ft long bar, also get like a nice down flat down urban and just a straight urban rail

They give money to all sorts of activities. So we just got a bunch of skiers/boarders together and asked if they wanted to give us some money for rails and stuff like that.
