Ideas for first car. +K For Bump

If you live in Canada import an r32 Skyline GTR, or a Toyota Celica GT-Four, or an STI from Japan. Or buy a WRX from Canada.
 
i want to live in canada and depending on my amount of money id get an s15 and an r34 but i dont have any money and live where those cars are illegal unless modified
 
Yeah, I'm in the process of importing a '97 JDM MR-2 GTS at the moment.. 15 year rule is bull shit but its not bad
 
I've decided any time anyone makes a car advice thread I'm only going to recommend a PT Cruiser. Get a PT Cruiser.

From personal experiences with Audi's, yes they are sweet cars, but as soon as the warranty is done, the bills pile up. My neighbor has an S6 and it is in the shop literally every other week. Also, my parents had an A4 and A6 a few years back and they were great, but they were new with no miles at all.

This has probably been said before but whatever. Just my 2 cents
 
dude for real tho get a subaru outback. i have one now and fucking love it. i will admit im a bad driver and i lost control one day and drove it thru a stone wall. yes thru. i did get stuck tho. but the only thing that needed to be done was a new transmission pan cuz it got squished. but i got the exhaust fixed too. just need new fog lights. but seriously if you go for a subaru stay away from years 200-2002 and even some 03s cuz these had aweful head gasket issues. things to make sure that have been done if it has over 100k miles on it: head gasket (not all cars have this problem), timing belt, water pump, catalytic converter,clutch if 5 speed. i wish you good luck and offer you some advice. dont spend that 12k all on your first car. spend like 2k fix it up and pimp it out and u still have like 8k too play with

 
Older mercedes ml320 off craigslist thats what i have... i have over 200,000 miles and im going strong.. great in snow and gets the bitches
 
A tdi of any sort. Mad gas mileage, power, and sex appeal. But yeah if you don't want constant matinence don't get European
 
now that this is bumped again, ill say it again, e30 325ix, c4 s4 or s6. for a quick, capable, reliable, CAR, thats your best bet. if you want an SUV or truck, look at toyota's. old toyota trucks and 4runners(im taking 80's-early 90's) just refuse to stop running.
 
another one, izuzu vehicross, rode in one of these in moab, completely stock and it was insanely capable, handled better than most cars on the road too. not sure what the maintenance is like, but from what ive seen izuzu makes a pretty dependable car. plus it looks like its from the future.
