Ideas for east coast ski

So im gunna end up buying new sticks this spring. Im really liking the idea of a fat ski. What is too fat for the east. Im gunna ski all mountain with a lot of jumps and not so much rails (or maybe rails if i get better). I ski 169 silencers wich are wayyyy to small. there 80 in the waist. Im 6foot5 and 230lbs I really like what I hear about the on3p jmos and as of now thats my top pic. Cant remember if there 94 or 96 but whats the diff anyway. Is that too fat or should I be ok. Give me some opinions and tell me what waist you ride in the east. Thanks

The ON3p'S sound sick, im in northern VT and i was debating between the fujas and the line blend. which are a 95 and 100 waist respectively. their are people at jay that rcok 130's and bigger but if you are looking for more of an everyday ski i would stay between 92-100.

Move to gear talk

Line Elizabeths or Line Blends are PERFECT all-mountain East Coast wides skis. So much fun to ride. Lizzies are a bit wider (110 underfoot) and softer than the Blends (100 underfoot), so that should you pick between the two.

how do I move to gear talk?

ok I was sure if around 100 would be too wide. guess i was wrong, i never see people with wide skis in vt. Like PE are the widest ive noticed.

i was choosing between the ON3P jmo and the Moment Tahoe for the exact same type of skiing

i went with the tahoe my default (bummer) and its been pretty good so far. it likes to carve, but its not going to hold a super solid edge on ice, but it will on softer packed snow. it is stiff too, which i sort of like, but it really doesnt want to float in any significant powder

I was thinking tahoe as well. Im on ice a lot. well the jmo has a slight rocker, wich Wil be good for pow. How is a rocker on ice

i ski all mountain alot. i do jumps and am getting into rails. i ski ice alot as well (local mountain is in PA). line chronics really do well. the carve just like my old fischer race skis, the only place i can tell the difference is in moguls. they are great in the park as well. they are being discontinued next year so pick some up soon.

they are 111-85-108. chronic cryptonites (same ski, little wider) are 121-92-117

hope that helps

Surface watch life is 132 100 122 seems to me like that is a really good measurment for the kind of ski you are looking for.

more edge will mean better hold. the jmo will be more playful, more slaving, but less carvability because less effective edge. the tahoe, since it has more effective edge, will have better hold and more contact with the ground and will be able to carve better on ice.

even with the icyness of the east coast, i still want to get the jmo, i feel like the tahoe is to specific on what it can and cant ski, it does what it wants, where the jmo will do what YOU want. but its all preference...

blend, jeronimo, kung fujas. in that order, i think.

blend is 100 underfoot, traditionally chambered, but kills it in all conditions. i've had it in 2 feet of fresh and it kills it, and its my primary ski for the icy hills of pa. i cant ask for anything more from a ski.

jeronimo is going to be a bit more good conditions specific. better when there is a bit of soft snow to be had. in the longer droughts when you spend the whole time skiing icy groomers? not gonna be as enjoyable.

kung fujas is awesome if you ski a lot of park and still want something thatll kill pow. mounted with a schizo its one of the most versatile skis out. super soft and playful, its really fun, but the edge hold isnt all that enjoyable on groomers, id say less so than the jeronimo.
