IDEA isnt just andy, pep, and pollard

cant wait for that movie, we will finally have something original from the ski movie industry(except for TBC)

it pretty much sounds like show and prove...focused on a few skiers with a bunch of other random riders thrown in here and there

i honestly do knwo what it is about this picture, but i absolutly love it.

i know what i love about it, unlike most skiers tracks on backcountry jumps, which usually look like a set of perfectly straight train tracks up the middle, pep andy and pollard all carve their spins. so sick.

this movie is so properly titled. I cant wait for the trailer even I just wanna see these guys do some sick shit.

looking at the pic and the white short skis, it has to be pollard with lines or andy or pep with the new k2 hellbents.

and the carve marks would most likely make it pollard.

Ike smith maybe hopefully will have some shots in it.. he was in one of Pollard's helmet cam edits on the IDEA website

Im sorry to say this, but I'm not enthusiastic about kye being in the movie. Unless he improved his style this year, it's a step down to see him after the other skiers. Kye just doesn't fit in with them or their style of skiing. I just can't stand his style. Hopefully it improved.

yea i was just about to say the same thing. i thought all of those guys are just hitting their prime. the kind of stuff they are doing right now is way above the level of so many other riders.

Also you have to keep in mind how young he is. Most people say you either have style or you don't, that's bull. style comes with the comfort level. If you can do a certain trick without any problems it's way easier to put lots of style into it. Seeing as Kye hasn't had long to learn any tricks let alone steeze them out it's onyl natural that he won't have amazing style. This year he probably improved.

What a brash, open statement. Are you saying that the invention of the fixed binding is not something original?

No, he's right.

I'm not saying the kid can't ski, hell he'd stomp my ass in park, and maybe all over the mountain...but he isn't someone I want to watch ski, at least not at this point in time.

Honestly, I'm kinda sad to hear that this is going to have riders other that Pollard, Andy and Pep, I just don't see anyone else on the same plane as those three as far as progession goes.

But Tanner and Zach D. are definitely good riders, so I guess it could be interesting.

Read it again...I said he IS a good skier, and I GUESS it'll be interesting to see what he brings to the film.

I just thought it was going to be Pollard, Pep and Andy, since they are tight and ride together all the time, and I can't see them riding with Tanner and Zach alot, that's why it's interesting that they'll be in it.

just poking fun at your wording, nothing serious. i figured other people must be in it, but hopefully it still focusses on the three. i dont want it to start out as "we're going to follow these guys around all year" and then after a few minutes theres so many friends segements, its hardly different from any other movie. not that it won't be amazing

Word...and I just watched a clip of Kye...and I retract my previous statement, he was throwing switch cork 7s off cornices into fresh snow...so he's definitely someone to watch, but the three wisemen (this is what I'm going to start saying as a way to refer to Pollard, Andy and Pep as a collective, much like the 3 Phils were always grouped together) are definitely going to be the reason I buy the film.

can't wait for this movie to drop..theres been a huge background hype about it and i'm real keen to see it come to fruition.

actually wasn't that in anaomoly?I really didn't mean to say Kye was a step down from them, but that just his skiing is different from pollard, peps and andy's. They just do a ton of switch stuff in the bc on natural features. I think kye is still in the park a lot(judging by movie segments) which is fine because he is young still. Either way, its good news and prob refreshing to the movie to have more than 3 guys.

Well, honestly I think he isn't as talented as them, but give him some time and see what happens, I'll still watch his part and all, but I don't think it'll be on the same level as what the three wisemen are going to be doing.

Kye is a much better skier in term of tricks than most of us, including me. However, I really didn't like his shots in Show and Prove because of the amount of flailing he does. I hope that has changed.
