your points are valid, but your sketch is out to lunch. time and personal are the problem at wentworth,. they have no person desiginated to park only. it is not taken seriously. dont expect to see any of the BIG 3 in the ground (48' str, 36' double kink, 45 ft' rollercoaster.

Day care rocks!! Duncan decided that he wanted to do it all, he hired Robin Hannam to help him. Jeff Jensen had major imput in the park that you see now. Ive been left out of it basicly because Duncan decided he could do it, Leslie agreed, Someone forgot to tell me, and now he gets all of the glory for such a great park!

duncan did far from what i recommended.
I drew out a park with two lines;
PRO line 38 ft straight above weefie then a 30 ft step down (where it is now) taking that speed into a 40 ft step up (ending where the run in to the flat down is now) then on to the flat down to end.
AMATUER line was going to be short straight rail (ride on) to rainbow/15 ft table into a roller table then the box.
Each line would give 4 features, with all the features in both lines stagert from each other.
the wall was going to be in the middle at the bottem, only usable for sessions or if you missed the four feature (flat down or box) in either line you could hit it in a run.
The double kink could have gone on the skiers right of the chair poles out of the way (the way it was 2 yrs ago. It could of been used for session or you would of missed the second/third feature on the PRO line.
The long straigh could have went somewhere for the end of the year for filming/sessioning. (the park is too small to have that in it with everything else in.)
The C rail could have gone at the end of the pipe, set so you could hit it from either end...like some hills do with c boxes. The wall could even go 50 ft behind it with the same intension..hitting from either side.
BUT
It didnt happen. THey have no one up their to run the thing. Thor should be hands down the guy with part timers like foster, wilson, curries, myself to do maintenance. parks are marjor part of the ski hill yet our fucked up hills cant see this. wentworth is at the point where the spend $$$$ on rails but dont use them. They have no plan and dont exicute ideas that are given to them, even after they argree to them. I have 10 days vacation in a year. I took 2 to lay out the wentworth park and know the thing is ass backwards. same shit i went through at Martock. Fuck these hills.
they - wentworth and martock are way behind and things will not improve until people are in place. ross is doing is all with some help at martock, but its March next week and the park is still not in. WHAT THE FUCK. THERE IS NO EXCUSE, OUR HILLS ARE FUCKING HORRIBLE.

Hey Jensen, I couldn't agree with you more.. I mean its almost March and we don't have a jump. I wish the hill would just hire someone full time to work on only the park and i wish they'd stop wasting their money buying rails that they're not gonna put in after a year. Surprisingly Crabbe and poley are the only hills that really have it right. Unfortunately Crabbe insists on having their main park right next to the lodge so people can watch but there isn't enough of a slope. This means you have to basically start at the top to hit the big jump but its worth it since you actually get to hit a real jump.

Davis, we all miss you so come home. The park at Wentworth is not in the right place, the Pipe isnt in the right place either. For the last two years Ive asked for the park to be put where the pipe is, or cut a new area beside the pipe and put some big features up there with some smaller ones in the current place. The pipe will never be good in the location that its at now, the shady wall is always icy, and the sunny wall is either too soft or too icy.
The issue is, like jensen says, management. There are too many people with a hand in the decision making process at Wentworth. There is one good thing that may change the process at Wentworth, Mike the operations manager, groomer driver, is going to a Cutters camp on Mt Hood in the summer. This may make him realize that they are using far too little snow.
A full time park manager, with all the decision making ability, three part time employees, and access to the groomer when needed. A new location for big features, the pipe to be relocated to a north facing slope, and about 4 times as much man made snow. Until this happens, you will have to go to Poley.
Martock is out of the question based on current management. They have the potential to be the Stoneham of Nova Scotia. If they decided to put in a full length park run, with good features they could have the city youth market to themselves. They will not do this anytime soon.
The one thing Wentworth has above all else is tree skiing and cliffs. Thats where ive been playing when the snow is good, when its not I have just been staying home.
If you dont like the current situation at you hill, write them a letter, an email, or go and talk to the manager. You can change things, just think about 6 years ago you could not ski the trees or jump at Wentworth.
