Idea for people bored with their skis

Hey

I saw EastCoastAR5's post about his AR5's and the sharipe job he done to them when I got an idea for doing skis. He asked what to put on so it wouldn't come off. Sence it is sharpie the only way it would come off is if it is rubbed or scratched off. Paint would come off if the ski flexes. So i thought to myself, whay can flex and won't crack and also won't rub off??? Rubber!

I've painted a few vehicles with my dad, hes nor a car body guy but he knows a bit about everything and enough to do a good paint job on a car. Anyway some vehciles we done we applied this rubber spray on paint on teh bottom part of trucks. It's black and when applied it turns into rubber after it sets. So if you sand your skis, get it rough enough for primer to adher to, and then apply this you could have black skis with a rubber top coat, which shouldn't come off unless your edges will damage it that much. Anyone willing to try?

You can just paint them but you have to mix the paint with a flex agent. You can get felx agent at any auto body shop. Works great. I've use it to paint a visors of my MX helmets in the past. You can bend stuff in half with no cracking. Works great.

Cool idea. As for the weight of the skis I don't think it will effect it that much. Its not like a inch thick of rubber, it's pretty thin.

free ski's right, just add the flex agent to the proper paint. I think auto paint would work really good any way.

i painted some skis and flex hasnt been a problem... the only reason its come off is gettin scratched by the other skis edges and what not

i pour liquid latex on my skis before i ride.

it gives me a serious erection dude.

serious.

erection.
