alright so im sure many of us ae well aware that lexan and hdpe are super expensive ....so i pondered a little idea that could possibly work ?? mayb?? so if u just took some nice wood and polyurathaned the shit out of it ....like a buncha coats do you think that would sowrk?? or better yet has anyone tried.....

^ if this had been discussed before that would be a witty understandable comment ....however it hasnt so i disreguard that remark

ive heard lexon (whatever that is) works well, my friends made a box out of pvc sheets that he got somewhere, they work relativly well too

^^ there is a thread about putting pieces of polyethylene on boxes.

anyway, my cousin polyurathaned a box a few years ago, and it worked fairly well if there was a light sprinkling of snow on top. The problem is that the polyurathane coats sort of get scraped off and you have to re-coat the box after a long session. Overall, lexan and hdpe work a bit better, but polyurethane is certainly a LOT cheaper.

yea i had an idea to use the rhino liner stuff you can get at walmart, but don't put in the grits. i bet that would slide nice.

I was gonna sand and polyurethane the shit out of some wood and make some rails for the summer to do inside, this is based on how well you can slide on wood floors and shelves.

if you have a pvc pipe you can get them long but how would you get them higer, and what is the best way to do this

please answer

well have you ever tried layex ya it works out well specially the lubricated shit slides really well if ya know what i mean ^^

thats how u do it my friend anything with a search bar is mone

but seriously if we all used the search bar no one here would be able to talk aboot anything now would we.

wood fucking sucks for rails, no matter how well its built it will just fall aprt over time, just spring the extra money and weld it. sooooo much better

Home depot sells this stuff that slides awesome and its mad cheap too, its called "there are allready 100 threads on this, look them up"
