There is so much backcountry in idaho. if you've got a sled, it's even easier to access thousands of acres of bacountry. lots of the shots in the snowboard movie Lame were filmes in idaho backcountry

The queation isn't 'can you ski it and live', but 'can you live withought skiing it'

Idaho has such great backcounrty and it's pretty much undiscovered at this point. The only people who seem to know what is up is the Robots. They film here every year and keep coming back for more. The Selkirks up north have some great terrain that is really steep if you know where to look. The Mccall area also has a ton of good bc and a lot of it is really accessable. Also Southern Idaho has some good stuff too. That's where the Robots always film and anyone who has seen Lame or Afterlame knows there is some kick ass BC in Idaho. It doesn't get much coverage which is why people don't seem to know about it but Idaho has great BC just like all the states out west. The best part about Idaho BC is that you won't see another person in an entire day of skiing unlike Cali or Utah where you'll be fighting over first tracks or spots to build a booter.

the treasure valley is huge and flat.
