I just moved back to the area and wondering if anyone knows some good areas near Boise for some backcountry skiing??? Bogus Basin Represent!!! Cheapest season pass ever! haha

you should post in regionals for this but if your looking for some side country, mores mountain just off of superior is a nice little skin/bootpack which dumps you off at the bottom of the lift. good back country however should be located near brundage which is 2 hours north of boise. super good pillow and mini golf cliffs if you got a sled to access it.

Check out Smiley Creek, which is near Sun Valley. It is well worth the trip if you want legit pow. Its also where all the Smith Prospecting Idaho videos were flimed

seriously you can go pretty much anywhere in Idaho for backcountry. if you have the money then rent a yurt for a weekend and stay with some friends

Idahomiez out here. Sort of secret stashes where we sled and trek, but there is plenty to go around.Head to Brundage and you'll find plenty of the best untouched pow easily accessed just by skinning

Yeah I will never complain how close it is. I love the closeness but considering they had the same 5 features in the park all year round in the same place sucks. They only used the top section and didnt use the bottom section that feeds from the jumps as well as the park. Hopefully when I recover from surgery and can ski in February it'll be better than last year.
