The jump is crazy, but i think the idea is just stupid. The cool thing about the old icer air was that it was just in the city, and people could just watch it. It was just a cool idea, but now it is all commercial and shit, you have to buy tickets, not to mention its not in the streets anymore.
 
because the jump was small and they had no speed... It is also gonna have jurassic 5 and ladytron playing live i think its worth it.
 
well then just make a better jump......the street concept was just awsome. Now its just another comp in an arena. It was the whole idea that people were skiing outside, in an extreamly hot place. It was just soo random. Now it is just commercialised to shit.
 
J-Mo is the only person doing shit to bring skiing to the masses in america, and as i've said all along, I fucking respect the guy and this makes it even more so. He is a skier first adn formost, regardless of what he's done to make his money, he's always been 'a skier' and played the role everywhere he has publically been. Props to him, can't wait to see how this turns out.
 
I call bullshit on you. Mike Douglas has promoted skiing way more. Miek Douglas is like Mammoth before intrawest, and then J-mo what it is now.
 
Not hating on Mike D, he's a legend, but I don't see him hosting the biggest tv show on the planet wear "skier" shits, or putting on events like Icer in warm cities.
 
if anyone went to icer last year, you would be shocked to see how much publicity this event drew. fuckin there wasnt parking for like 10 blocks surrounding the event, and the streets were fully packed to the max, people took the day off of work to see this shit. this year at pac bell its gonna go fuckin off! ill be there, hey calskierX, will you be there???
 
does anyone know how big the jump will be? in that pic it looked like really small, like a huge setup but mabye a 50 ft. table, it needs to be like 70 or 80 if they are doing it in a fucking stadium.
 
i'll be there. looks better than last year. it was sooo hot last year they couldn't keep the jump in good shape and they had wayyyy more people show up than they expected. deffinitely looks worth the money.
 
I dont think it will be, there are so many good skiers and its not x games national TV judging. I think it will be dope with all sorts of shit getting tossed around, il be throwing misty 7's and 9's so well see....hehe
 
i would really like to see johnny in a future ski movie coming out. i havent seen him in a ski movie since Junkshow Diaries. probly spelled that wrong
 
word to moseley reppin' our sport more than anyone, even with the change of scenery, this event will be sick. cool concept, sick skiers, great music, how could it go wrong...
