Esurance Icerair 2007 will take place at AT&T Park in San Francisco,CA. The 2 day event will consist of 3 venues: The stadium, which will house big air urban skiing and snowboarding, a vert ramp, and concert stage; The village, which will feature freestyle motocross, a skate/BMX park course, interactive industry booths, a music stage, and a beer garden; and McCovey Cove, which will showcase wakeboarding!

I heard this year they're going to line the sides of the landing with jagged spikes so they don't fall off.
 
Haha that was so rediculous how they didn't have the netting up at the start, that one girl would've DIED.

I can't wait to see what type of deathtrap there is this year that injures the fuck out of an athlete on what normally would've been a harmless fall.

Good publicity for the sport, I just hope it's done better this year than last.
 
o hell yea, snowboarding, freestlye motocross and bmx!! I'm gona go drink some Amped to get fucking more psyched!! This is going to be so extreme, but why do they have skiing, isn't that sport lame compared to vert skateboarding?
 
Word on the street is that Jon is designing the jump. So it should be a lot better this year.

Apparently, they are going to be making it much safer/ bigger this year. Construction is supposed to start the day after the Giants last home game. They are going to have a much better WIDER landing, and a longer run in. At least thats what Sean Field said on the radio when he came on.

 
Last years jump was the ugliest I've ever seen... if the rumour about Jon designing it is true it's the best ever.

Seriously the whole thing was unnecessarily high up. they could have lowered it atleast 15 ft.

wow thats like 30ft. how shitty, they could have made like a 60 footer with half that crap and it would have been much better.
 
Yeah.. last year the guys who created the jump were kinda rushed and really werent able to do all they wanted with it I guess... either that or they just sucked.

And I heard that rumour about jon too, but my guess is that its a collaboration of a bunch of guys.
 
I´ll be there. And last yers comp was still dope, despite the jump not being that great. But what do you expect biulding a jumpin 2 days in a baseball stadium, in 65 degree weather? It was still better then the first years jump.
 
yeah its a whole team of guys designing it, but with jon's insight and experience in building it should be baller.

and def expect the jump to be made to his liking (so he can throw dubs).

Hey, they had some sick music in that game haha.

Atmosphere is the menu music... that pwns almost any other game ever haha.
 
yeah last year northstar did have a shitty park. If Jon builds it thats gonna be sick. That woud be sick if he built his JOI jump out of wood.
