when they realized how lame it was going to be, wouldn't it be easier to just have it fade away - just not have it entirely - rather than just have it be so painfully bad like this?
 
Wow. i wasnt there but that seemes like s pretty lame setup. No offense to the organizors of the event, but i think it would have made much more sense to just make a normal booter like in the past years... it looked really sketchy and har to pull off tricks.
 
our fucked up economy is to blame for the fucked up icer air. nearly all the sponsors pulled out last minute.

As shitty as that setup was, I still give props to the guys who organized it who basically fought to keep it alive by making something out of nothing. Whatever though, nothing will ever compare to the first icer air.

yeah, as stated above the organizers deserve credit for atleast making the event happen. When you lose your sponsors only weeks before an event is set to go off, you have to work with what you can. They gave it a shot, unfortunately it didn't work out all that well but they still made something happen. Last year was a huge step forward for the event, it's just unfortunate that our ailing economy can have such a huge effect on our events. I can guarantee you this won't be the last event that takes a beating from lack of sponsor money this season...
 
^ very true, and they did put on what looked to be a fun event with little to no sponsorship, but would they have been better off keeping everyone's perception on the Icer Air name high from last years giant event, and taken a year off until they could regain sponsorship. rather than have the event at such a smaller scale.

they should have just made an ill rail jam comp on some random hill/street in san fran and had a sick setup with that... somthing a lil less sketch maybe
 
from what i heard, the reason why that it was so small is because of the recent economic bottom out, some of the major sponsors dropped it like only a few weeks ago
 
Since all of the sponsors dropped out they shouldve taken that slingshot and brought it out to Filmore street again. That wouldve been sick
