Why dont we have some dope shit like this, this is like summer x-games 1998 or 99. The set up alone is like 10 times bigger than any city jump we have now

yea that makes that shit look weak and considering that Icer AIr looked sketchhhayyy then need to up the game

Crazy to think that 10 years ago skiing had its best city event to date huh? You would think we would have more money to throw around now then back then. That was when they were all throwing down with candie dynastar pros and the orange 1080's right? Same year that Jay Mcelfelder (sp) broke his back stopped skiing and started taking pictures.

Your an idiot. Do you think icer air sucked because the people in charge were incompetent? Wrong. All their major sponsors backed out last minute due to the current finical status around the globe. It's kind of hard to make an event when you don't have money.

Whoa, I was only explaining what I felt that the other guy said.

But if you're going to slam me, let me defend myself.

Do I think Icer Air sucked? Yes. Do I realize the current economic situation, and do I realize that the sponsors backed out? Yes, I pay attention to the news, and yes, I read the article that was on the front page.

That being said, Icer Air has gotten progressively worse. See above for the picture that I posted. That year (2005) was, in my and many other's opinions, the best Icer Air year. I feel that since then, the quality has become "weak sauce" to quote the OP.

So don't patronize me and try to make me as if I don't know what I'm talking about. If you read the thread you would realize that everyone thought it sucked, not just me.

dunno about anyone else but i thought london freeze was a nice setup, particularly for a 1st attempt. freestyle.ch and KOS always seems like a nice setup too, the riders always seem stoked at least. i guess it all comes down to finances- these comps don't have espn budgets and with the funds that they get they tend to make a pretty sick event.

except for icer air which has been a shameful debacle since 2005.

I was very impressed with london freeze after losing the majority of there snow to rain for making it not only work but putting on a damn good city comp

i know all their sponsors ditched them and they did there best i was just saying their jump was weak

Icer air has been going downhill since the first year. They should take it back to the streets or at least have a legit safe jump so the athletes can throw down their best stuff and not have to risk their season and/or life.

This year sucked. but last year was pretty sick. I wasnt able to attend the one on lombard street, but my brothers and mom did. the second year I was in a different country. So I am not really sure hwo much worse it has gotten year by year. but last year was pretty sick. the jump was decent sized, and there was other fun stuff going on to.
this year was a total joke. no booths, the jump didnt work out well, and the music was horrible. men woman and children really sucked.
