They moved it all to the parking lot next to the stadium... shit is soo weak. No good artists playing. the sickest part of the event in years past has always been actually being in AT&T park. Now that its on a parking lot it will be WACK.
 
cmon kiddies.. 3 years ago.. fillmore street. that was the fucking shit x10. snow down fillmore with a booter at the vallejo intersection! that shit went off! att park was a downgrade, they have already had a snow jump on the pier for the 00 x games. street to stadium to pier..

 
yea fillmore street was the best one, no question. i thought moseley was going to die on that insane 360 mute.
 
Yea music does not look that appealing.......and the parking lot venue is not going to help the visability for the spectators. It is what it is I guess. Too bad we can't have our own US version of the X-terra or the Air&Style..........I still might attend
 
i have never understood the attraction to icer air. its always seemed like such a gay circus show to me. furthest thing from skiing possible.
 
It's a chance to watch some skiing long before we can ski? And for all us bay kids, its damn close. And I do agree that it has become kind of a circus show with all the motocross and other bullshit that goes along with it — but athletes still come and throw it down pretty hard.
 
thats lame. w/e im not planning on watching or being there. as long as they get some baller pictures its all legit.
 
ya it kind of sucks. Last year in the park was so sick. and I actually liked having all the shit in the parking lot to. the "village" or whatever it was called. I watched the bmx'ing and that was sick. and the skiing was off course fun to watch. and the music has downgraded. I mean we had jurrassic 5 two years ago (i didnt get to go, I was in Germany......sucks) and last year taleb kwelli and most def and stuff. and from the artists this year, I have not heard many good songs. K'naan has a song I like. but I dont know about the others.

I am all for skiing in the stadium, and then some other shit in the parking lot.
 
dude. 3OH!3 is playing. they are so bad ass, just two white dudes rapping about parties and shit. id go just to see them.....and the skiing
 
ya the parking lot is huge but if it the one i am thinking of then there is light poles everywhere so that might suck...

Rock the Bells was held in the parking lot, and it turned out to be awesome. I think it is a larger space. Maybe they want to have it like rock the bells, where it was like a carnival, and you could walk to several stages to see several groups at once? But in this case you will see skateboard, BMXing, snow, bands, beer. . . . .

Anyways, Buck, I'm thinking about cruising, will you be my date?
 
hmm take it as u guys are not big fans of 3OH!3? Or just not heard of em?

Damn i actually liked how it was in the stadium, i thought that was unique, and correct me if im wrong, but that was a one of a kind event in the US right?
 
Skiing of this brand doesn't belong in San Fran. These sorts of comps are really strange to me, as ordinary skiers don't actually get to ski.

The exposure from this does not lead to bettering of the sport, nor does it directly affect how I am going to ski. Even if 10,000 people show up, and 20% buy twin tips and other gear, that is still a drop in the bucket for ski companies when spread out across the industry.

If people want to pay pros to hit a jump in the parking lot of a sports arena, more power to them. Get that money. But this is nothing but another advertising whore fest for companies who for the most part don't care about skiing beyond their profit lines.
