I'm slightly bored so here you go:
Skis in question:
Graphics:
Ice: nice looking
Can: boring af
Width (not much difference):
Ice: 125 mm underfoot
Can: 122 mm
Camber (not much difference either):
Ice: reverse camber aka rocker
Can: reverse camber aka rocker
Flex (based on both company websites, not much of a difference):
Ice: Icelantic website says they range on the stiff side
Can: Faction website says they range on the stiff side, iirc when I skied them they were floppy
Sidecut Radius (Ice is going to make slightly shorter turns):
Ice: 22 m (180 size)
Can: 25 m (183 size)
Weight (Candide is marginally lighter):
Ice: ~10 lbs
Can: ~8 lbs
Core (Ice wins on the core makeup):
Ice: poplar core (ehhhhh better than balsa / flax core)
Can: balsa core (boooooooooooooooooooooooo)
Retail (Ice wins again):
Ice: $749
Can: $929 (hahahahahahahahaha)
At the end of the day they're basically the same ski.
I would recommend the Icelantic over the Faction due to core makeup, price point, and it's an overall better looking ski.
When you inevitable make another thread, please include the following to help other NSers better recommend a ski:
