Ice rink ice

so i have questions about getting ice from ice rinks. Do you need to bring trashcans to load it? can you just put it in the back of a truck?
 
well it really depends on the ice arena. If you bring a truck you will have a much easier time, trash cans are too much of a pain unless you only have a small car. Typically the ice guy will try and dump it right in the back of the truck, but bring a shovel because most of it ends up on the tail gate...Make sure you call and tell them that you are coming and they will tell you when they are shaving so they can meet with you and arrange the most effective way of gettting snow. Believe me a truck is better. But if you can sesh without snow, do it. the gas money is crazy for me and I am sure most of us. GO FOR IT
 
load up trucks its soo much easier then trash barrels for sure....my friends and i told my local ice rink to pile up the snow in one spot instead of spreading it out so it wont melt as fast its sick
 
Truck for sure. You won't get nearly as much in trash cans, trust me. For some reason, it doesn't compare. You'll load much more into a truck bed. It'll leak out the back, but no worries, not a big problem. The only tough part is that getting out is sometimes a pain, but hey, for a sesh, its worth it.

Me and my friend do this all the time. If you happen to only be available at a certain time and you're not sure whether they're dumping or not, go in, be polite, and ask them too. If they're not super busy, they'll dump whats in the hopper. We did that once, and I was soooooooooooooo stoked.
