Ibook: the best of times, the worst of times

Any computer whizzes / people who've had this happen to 'em, who can help me out here? My ibook G4, usually dearer to me than about half of my friends, has mysterisouly fucked up. Specifically, the battery refuses to recharge. It works when plugged in, but im not so crazy about having the most lightweght portable desktop on campus

oh yeah and to make it exciting, my existing charge is slowly going down.....right now its at 1%. I don't know whats going to happen when it hits 0% (sometime in the enxt few days....) but im pretty sure it wont be good.

Mine doesn't charge either unless you angle the plug right. I would bet there's a connection broken inside where the adaptor plugs in. Have a tech look at it and he'll tell you what's wrong. Is it still under warrantee?
 
Best you can do is check the cord/try someone elses, then take out the battery and check that out. If you can't find anything else, clean the contacts and try again.
 
nah its not under warranty. ive tried other peoples chargers, mine works on other computers and opther peoples which work on other computers dont work on mine. Ive tried cleaning all the contact points, i cant think of any time when ive dropped the computer or something...im going to try taking the battery back out and taking a look. this could be goodbye NS for some time.
