if your editing, I would get the powerbook, just becaue you can get an 80gig hard drive. But both are going to be fine...

I don't know enough about computers to tell yah anything else.

But my friend has the powerbook with 60gigs, and with his 20 gigs of music, photoshop, flash and a couple movies, hes pretty much ran out of hard drive.

.

For editing buy a desktop, I use a laptop and it is soo slow when you have to render and stuff, desktops are more solid and consistant for editing if that is your main use for the comp.

i want a laptop for travelling, I have a PC desktop....im on it right now

Here's waht im thinking anyways

iBook G4

1.33GHz PowerPC G4

80GB Hard Drive

14.1' TFT 1024x768 pixels

AirPort Extreme built-in

512MB RAM

SuperDrive

$2061 Canadian

G5 desktop - editing / filmmaking platform, computer for all your needs that is immobile.

ibook - College notes, music, whatever you need an average laptop for.

powerbook - A desktop packed into a laptop. that simple, but it's not as good for editing as a g5.

powermac - the g5 on fucking speed.

but is you iBook G4 good for with Final Cut pro? i've got my iBook G4 now and i'm getting Final Cut pro soon

just bought an ibook g4 with pretty much all the stugg your thinkin about

go with it works nice for editing once you get the software

get rid of bush

hush hush ^ acquisition...like kazaa for apples. the retail price of final cut is about $5000. howver, you may want to cut your teeth on something more basic first as it is hella complex to get the most out of it.
