IB Program

Apparently it's so widespread, but does everybody here even know what it is? And if you're in it, how are you finding it? Is it worth doing?

yeah are school has it. im not in it but i guess its like college level courses then theres a IB diploma that looks like a ton of work

i have no clue what you're talking about. I have a question though, what's the most time's you have had to take a shit in 1 day? i'm not talking like when your sick and have diarea, but normal heathy shits. I've already taken 3 today and I'm about to crap my pants again in a minute.

I was in it and I ended up taking a bunch of the tests. They prepare you really well for college, but are pretty difficult and the tests don't get you any credit at most colleges. So, if your looking for a good education they're good but they arent that great for college credit. If you want college credit I would just take AP classes.

I'm in it, and everybody I know who's graduated is either very smart, or somebody who couldn't handle the stress, and ended up getting addicted to pot... Your choice, but it does prepare you really well for university, and in some places they will count your IB courses as university credits.

International Baccalaureate, there's one in town but i didnt wanna change schools, all it is is that its more intense, you graduate with an International Baccalaureate which looks good for going into university.

yea im doin an IB diploma. all the essay and CAS stuff you gotta do is soooo shitty and pointless, i prollly will fail my IB diploma and get a reg one cause i havent done any community service or anything. but the teachers are normaly hella good and its hard stuff

a bunch of my friends r going into it and i know sum ppl who r in it he says its hell adnt ney say its gonna be hell

I am in it. It is alright. I'd say its worth it just cause it really sets you apart when getting in the colleges.

I WAS in it...fuck it dude. My friend stayed in it...he's SOOOO overworked right now..you work work work..and it doesn't get you much further then everyone else..infact..my brother stayed in it until the end...and it dind't necessarily help him that much..i mean yes it did..but like..if you want to ski on weekends and hang out with friends and shit..dont do it..it was a waste of my time. I took alot of time to make up the decision of staying or not..but i'm now very glad i'm threw with it!

BUT..it all depends what your future plans are..so i guess look into it more..but if you go into it..dont plan on having a social life..

yeah as he said our school has it, but its damn hard even though most of the teachers are good. i was thinking about doing it, but decided against it.

IB is supposedly a step ahead of AP. I find AP tests harder, but there is more in-class work for IB classes. I dont think it is really that much work. I havent done anything this year (senior) and skied like 40 times. I hang out all weeekend, every weekend and shit still. I mean it is a lot of work, i'm not going to lie, and I dont know how worth it it is. All I know is I got into the schools I tried for, and I think a lot of it was because IB is so exclusive and not many people do it. I know lots of people who have dropped it and are only taking some IB classes and it works for them. Its really up to you.

I did IB in high school and it was a shit ton of work but it has made college mad easy like I did more work in high school than college and some of the skills you learn like analytical thought and paper writing are solid. I also got 30 college credits for taking 2 IB classes. so that was a big help. so it can save you thousands of dollars off of college if you do it right and it also helps a lot to get into college most schools really dig it
