Pulled up to bush the other day for some laps and saw the legend himself cruising majestically down Riemer. Seen him there a few other times in previous years but always stoked to see him gettin some hits in amongst a crew of legends (Dayton, Shane mcfalls, bean man, bushman). First day out and rips a sw tails onto the tallest fucking rail in the park (catfish); absolutely laced, no hesitation. Homie was trying to backslide the 50' monster of a quad kink, a criminal trick for that rail, and was getting obscenely close. Lacing double swap variations every hit on the tube and just flowing through the park with the same Compton style that we all remember from the early TC days and the Weak. Shit reminded me of the 2017 TAFT at killington where he laced front to front on this massive DFDFDF first fucking hit of the sesh. Mans still got it and it fires me up to see him skiing. All those previously mentioned homies, who I grew up watching, are seldom seen at bush now and its so fire to watch them hot lapping at my local.
 
unrelated Sugarbush question but when does that main park on Mt Ellen usually close for the season? Would visiting first week of April be too late? I somewhat remember seeing it being pretty early in years past but don't remember the dates

Usually the first weekend of April is big parks last weekend. Word is they’re gonna try for later this year but wouldn’t count on it

I remember seeing Ian lap Nitro my first time ever at Carinthia. I was 12 years old and I'd never seen someone ski with such speed and fluidity through a terrain park. I can visualize his double backswap on the old battleship box to this day.
 
I feel like he’s had a really overlooked influence on park skiing today. Always had the sickest and most memorable skiing whenever he was in tc episodes

ian wouldnt have known about the raponda rail if travis heed didnt pave the way with real freestyle skiing. Ians blind ballerina 4, five years later... does nothing for me, but give me the cringes. how do all you kiddos jock a chump, and disrespect the most legendary freestyle skiing...?

yall kids can stay delusional, but at least that edit was close to worth watching a decade later...

travis heed should have been dripping in armada, pro model everything, he woulda had switch 4 on to the raponda rail five years later....

Freestyle would have been nothing without Jon Olsson pioneering the first doubles. Richie Paradise just had those switch 10 mutes.

Also, Raponda was old news when heed hit it. and it was older news when compton hit it, they should have got original and went to rail gardens.
 
just bought a pair of the 2013 ltc skis, pulling up to bush tuesday,wednesday and praying i can share my appreciation to the ogs
