I70 today was horrendous

it took almost an hour to get from golden to the lookout mtn exit, so we turned around. maybe urban this afternoon though
 
yeah dude i heard it sucked. i left boulder this morning at 6 and it was wide open the whole time... but i almost hit the canyon wall trying to pass someone up clear creek canyon... so close to totalling my jeep. but the drive back SUCKED. i left frisco at 3 and didnt make it back to boulder till 6, fuck I-70 i wish i had a helicopter
 
i may be wrong, but i saw on the news earlier that a truck crashed into a bridge...that may have had something to do with the traffic
 
No, that was East of Denver. Like in Bennett or something. People just need to learn how to drive during Winterweather. Its not hard, I just dont understand how people always crash. I mean, if its snowing you dont go the posted speed limit or cut in and out of traffic like a moron. Dont ride someones ass. I just dont understand how there are so many accidents just cause it snows. People just need to learn how to drivein the snow and slow down.
 
yea all the way to the bottom of floyd hill traffic was terrible. it was just everyone not knowing how to drive. so many cars couldnt get up the hill
 
Tell me about it, I just llook out my window and see tons of cars. I live in the lookout mountain area. All day is was shitty. They closed that streatch of hwy 3 times yersterday,
 
I moved here from MI this fall and am totally BLOWN AWAY by how bad colorado drivers are.... it just amazes me that 90% have no idea what they're doing driving on snow. Even in good weather, they sit in the passing lane and don't even notice the semis passing them.
 
yeah dude colorado drivers are terrible. so are washington's and oregon's drivers. im used to new york driving
 
haha NY drivers? shit man, how about anywhere on the east coast....oh dear jesus there is snow falling! I gotta park my car in the middle of the highway and hoof it to the nearest Wawa's.

East coast drivers are way worst and way more retarded especially when it comes to seasonal conditions then are drivers from CO. Especially when they bail there cars in the middle of highways and al walk! Half of the "horendous" traffic on I70 is caused by trucks that dont put there chains on, or in general just flood traffic. I know they dont have any other option.
 
whoa now... im from rochester/buffalo area and drivers there are on point. it's why im so good in snow
 
CO drivers suck because half of them are tourists and the other half from California. NOBODY uses the fucking right lane and those in the left go about 60 mph ... downhill. Jersey/New York drivers own CO drivers in all road conditions, no question. Only in CO you see people going 40 mph in DRY conditions with temperatures above freezing after a storm passed a day earlier.
 
This thread is not to have a pissing contest about other states driving. LOL...This is about COLORADO and I-70. Its simple really.

I agree with the guy that said no one uses the right lane.

it does especially in traffic because the truckers arent stopping and going, they're just consistently moving, yay truckers!!!
 
Yep. And there's more tailgating in the left lane with cars in the right more spaced out.
