how the hell are chinese not a race? That is like saying Canadians, Mexicans, and Americans aren't a race...What are they North Americans. Asians is not a race...

aren't there only 5 official races in the world. native american, caucasian, asian, hispanic/latino, and islander?
 
for legal documents yes, but its mainly for identifying skin type/color. But when it comes to talking to ppl then we almost always break it down by country due to native pride and/or individuality reasons
 
im pretty sure the "races" are mongoloid, negroid, and caucazoid..all the rest are ethnicities

On another note, i tried to track down this mattd person. There's someone named MatD, who hasn't been on in quite some time, and there is a Matt-D, who i think deleted his account, because it just redirects you to the members page. Did you shame this guy into deleting his account, or was this on another site? Because if you did, that's impressive
 
I was thinking ethnicity not race, but in the same sense so was he in the thread. And at this point, yes I think they are ethnicities. I am a mix of everything. My mothers great grandfather was native american, from their, there isn't a single other nationality that reapeats. I am 1/8 scandinavion, and everything else is less than that. By that standard, being american should be a new ethnicity.
 
You sir, are correct. That's anthropology 101 right there. Thread creator is confusing race with nationality.
 
I was thinking ethnicity/nationality at first cus that is how it was in the thread, it was just bad wording and not thinking by saying race.
 
everyone is just a different shade of tan. But they say native americans are red, which mean they aren't tan but burnt, so they're not like normal people. I dont say that in a racist way
