Hello filmmakers of NS,

I just "finished" my first real park edit I've ever shot. I was hoping you all could spare some time and give me a quick critique.

Equipment used:

Canon 60d

18-135 3.5-5.6 is

Ravelli AVTP tripod (Want to get a glidecam soon)

Rode Videomic

I thought that was actually pretty good, nice job. I would say you had some stabilization issues in some shots though and also the snow in some of the shots was overexposed. I'd try to pic up a new lens before you pick up a glidecam though

i really enjoyed it. i thought the colors were done very well and the few minor stabilization issues were all i could think of for "critiquing." but overall very nice liked how the song fit too

The skiing was great and the edit looked very good. I prefer edits where the skiier is closer to the camera i guess its personal preference though. The song was a bit boring but it gave the edit a good, chill vibe to it. Some of the shots were super cool, like where one skiier rails and then you switch 100 degrees and films anoter skis- shots like that gives good variation to the edit.

shoot wider and get tighter, make a world of difference in stabilization

if you are only filming this kind of stuff I would suggest picking up a wide angle, probably the tokina 11-16 f2.8. Greatest lens ever...
