I work at a ski shop but cant decide what to get

5'7, 150 lbs. ski mostly park and decent all mountain. I can get pretty sick deals from Salomon, Dynastar, K2, and Armada. Any ideas for my new skis this year? Im feelin like 3 different ones so opinions would be sweet
 
176 dumonts maybe the 181. Pipe cleaners would be sick especially as you can get them cheap and you dont do too many rails. Or get some 179 k2 silencers (must be hell cheap on a proform) for a park set up and some hellbents for powder.
 
I use the K2 Seth's in a 179 for a all-mountain. I am 5 8 150. They are badass for everything.
 
Whatever you can get cheap. It's your job to sell skis, you should seriously know what to buy.
 
this comment says everything... there is a big probleme if you work in a ski shop and dont even know what ski would fit you.
 
what shop do you work in with an attitude like that i hope i'm not buying anything from you, get the lizzys for the park, and hell bents, pontoons or ep's for your pow ski
 
Chill. Even if you don't work in twin's, you should be able to have some knowledge in them. Or at least you could have someone there help you?

dude, you should've expected it. asking what skis to buy when you work in a ski shop. then getting all nasty coz someone mentioned it. chill the fuck out.
 
if you dont like it dont use it. that was a legitamite opinion; if you work in a shop we shoud be asking you what skis we should buy not the other way around
 
i cant believe noone here can read. the only reason i got pissed was because i just asked for opinions. i already narrowed it down, just wanted to see if theyd come up so i could make my decision easier. i dont have the money to buy three pairs of skis
 
Trouble makers are the shit. Same with big troubles if you want a fatter ski,

Stay away from K2, they have shitty cores and your binders will rip out if you ski hard, plus they are heavy and have no pop just a shitty flex.

Salomon, well it's your skis not mine.

Armada is cool since they fixed their top sheet problems.
 
But my question is why are you asking such a broad question. You didn't even put down a lot of pertinant information that ANY good shop guy would ask. such as where you ride, how hard you ride, your confidence level, where you'll be mounting them, price range(if thats your style, some salesmen leave it out). so really i recommend you rework your idea on what a person needs to know to sell a ski.
 
but that wasnt the type of question i was asking. it was a specific based question, it was really meatn to be your opinions on this years skis and hopefully that would have narrowed it down for me. for example maybe someone would say theyre feelin good about the dumonts, well oh gee, the dumonts are one of the ones im having trobule deciding on. i just needed something to push me one way or the other
 
Keep in mind that Dynastar edges suck and if you hit alot of rails hard and like to bonk objects around the mountain you can kiss your edges good bye. I know first hand, having owned 4 pairs of Concepts and Troublemakers over the last 5 years.
 
OK, you don't work in the ski departmewnt of your shop, but still, you value the opinions of some 15 year olds online more than those of the staff in your shop?
 
I thought the pipecleaner had a softer, ie; less durable base, something which may not stand the test of time as well as the standard ar6 base. So there is really no need to call me out on this. ^^^^^^^^
 
This year's Seth's are looking pretty sweet, as are the Troublemakers. Salomon's Dumont is pretty sick sounding this year, and Armada's AR6's have always been solid, and same goes with the ARV's.

Of course, these are all all-mountain twins, so, suited for most things. Obviously, I'm not sure what your current quiver consists of, so I have no idea what you want. For all I know, you could want a pow ski, and all the above recommendations are useless.
